Rule #9 XXL World Tour 2016

Now I'm beginning to worry. It still shows no progress.

I just contacted the post office and they will be going to search for it hopefully they will come up with something.

Good gracious....this is not good.

Still hoping it is just taking some sort of unscheduled trip by mistake.

Still no sign of it. USPS called me today to tell me they can't find it but not to worry. They are still looking.
Ugghhhh. I guess I don't get to show it off this weekend.

I've had it happen before, one took almost three weeks to go to Texas, but it kept going from sorting center to sorting center, before it was finally returned to me.

But did it completely disappear like this? I've seen them take a long time taking the polar route etc. but they seemed to get scanned at every point.

John, please reserve a spot in July production for me, a spot for a possible Rule #9 XXL just in case.

I traded some flashlight parts with someone a while back who was in New York. His part arrived to me in 3 days. Mine took three weeks to get to him.

The local post office calls me every couple of days to let me know that nothing has changed. Still hoping.

The only insurance is the automatic $50 you get when shipping priority mail.
I ship 15 to 30 packages a week from this shop: 99.9% via USPS and I have NEVER had one go missing completely. Broken or damaged, yes. Completely missing...forever...no. But, never had one go missing for this length of time. I think maybe 15 days max.
I believe we have to give it 30 days before filing a claim.

I have a claim in the works. Hopefully they will find it.

Well,it's been three weeks since the package was last SCANNED. Why could they not have lost one of the cheaper fishing reels I ship out daily.
Who files the claim for the $50 insurance? Shipper or shipee? Probably me I suppose. I'll give it the 30 days and then I'll officially contract John to make a new knife for Mack. At least it will be available for hunting season.
The missing box was well taped and the knife was rolled up in a vinyl Penn Fishing banner, undetactable even if you opened the Box fully, so I doubt that theft is the issue here. The only thing else in the box was a new Penn Visor for Mack to shade his pirate eye. I wish this had not happened, but... sigh.
My confidence for the knife to show up is low. I actually did have a knife get returned to me about 6 years ago that I had shipped to Italy. It was a custom shop Buck dagger and Italian Customs held it up for months and then finally returned it to the US because it could "not be proved to have never harmed anybody" (it was new and in he original box?) That whole fiasco took about 6 months start to finish. I had a Fin Nor reel that I sent to Cape Coral, Florida take about two weeks because it went first to Guam, and then to Hawaii and finally back to the CONUS and eventually to Florida. however, tracking continued to follow it on it's journey.
Well, if the original comes back to roost someday after it's replacement has been made, I'm sure there are many of us who had the pleasure of sampling it's goodness on the Bassaround who would love to buy it.
I had it last, so I'll take responsibility for the loss.
