Savson Swords and Knives

I've asked Yahoo shopping to attempt to contact Savson on my behalf and I just got an email this morning informing me that he did not respond to their email. I have tried using Varg Lobos' suggestion by using a different email account to contact him but so far nothing. But I sent it Friday morning so I will wait until Monday before sending another email through a third account. At this point I think I may have to chalk this up as an expensive lesson if I cannot obtain a charge back. I think it will be dificult if he don't answer emails. I would feel so much better and wait patiently for delivery if he would only answer my emails  One time, I waited almost 2 months for delivery from Canada but I gave the merchant positive reviews because she promptly answered my emails and seemed concerned that my package was delayed.

When I first contacted him I used Hotmail. He answered back.

After my problems with my order I sent 5 or 6 e-mails during a one week period using the same Hotmail address. No answer.

I switched to my Yahoo account and he answered immediately.

It worked for me, I hope it works for you.

Good luck.

I have now sent 7 emails using my yahoo account and over a dozen using my rr account and still no response. His website has been updated recently (things that were listed as not in stock are now listed as in stock and ready for shipment) so I don't think he is having computer or health problems. I was worried his lack of reponse was due to health reasons given reports of his recent surgery but now I know he is simple ignoring my requests for information.

I just sent an order in to Savson around 8:30AM mountain time, and I sent him an email asking for any info, if it was going out today, ect. He just got back to me not 5 minutes ago and let me know that my orders in the warehouse, ready to get packaged up.

I ordered a waved Delica, a Native III CE and a ATS-55 Dragonfly spyderedge. All for cheaper than anywhere else I could find. So Savson worked for me again.
Randy is a good guy, he's always gotten back to me quickly when I've sent him emails. So I'm not sure why people are having problems with them.

Just my 2 cents.

I guess he thinks I don't deserve his consideration because I'm a first time buyer. Maybe because I only ordered 1 item, he figures I won't be a repeat buyer so it's no loss if I'm an unhappy customer. Hearing these reports from customers who had great customer service makes me even angrier. WTF my money is good enough to accept but I don't deserve the item we contracted for because I may not be a repeat buyer? And because I only bought 1 item, I'm unimportant and don't deserve any information and I should be willing to wait forever for something I already paid for? Is he choosing who he contacts and gives updates based on how much they paid and if they are regular customers and not if they have legitimate concerns? If the item was shipped then tell me so I can make a claim. After all it was insured. If the item was out of stock and on back order inform me so I don't wonder what happened. I just don't want to be left in the dark. At this point, I don't care about the money because I pretty much resigned it as a loss. I'm now at the point where anytime anyone says he gave them good service, I will counter that claim with my experience because I don't want this kind of frustration for anyone else. I'm not the first person he has done this to and probably won't be the last. But I feel that it is my responsibillity to inform as many people as possible about the poor treatment I received from Savson Swords and Knives:mad:

I'm another sucker, I guess.

8 days ago, he said my knife would ship, the next day.

After 4 days, i contacted him, and he said that the mail must be slow.

Now, he does not reply to my e-mails, and I have no knife.

Should i call my CC company?

Something smells really fishy, but I was giving him the benefit of the doubt, until 10 mins ago when I read this thread.

I feel so violated.....

(:

I have initiated the chargeback process in an attempt to get my money back. My bank praised me for making copies of all my emails I sent to Savson along with the order confirmation email. The credit card rep told me I had brought everything I should have brought and as far as she can determine, I have a legitimate claim for a chargeback. What was disconcerting was while I was at the bank discussing my situation with the credit card rep, she was unable to access the Savson website. It could have been an incredible coincidence that the site was down at that time but I was able to access the site before I left my house and after I got home. Another thing she said was any merchant that accepts credit cards over the phone or internet needs to have a working phone number in order for banks to be able to directly contact them but when she tried to use the phone number Savson provided, no one answered the phone. I would think that if Randy was an honest merchant, he would quickly answer his phone when a bank attempts to call him. So far, my bank hasn't contacted me or credited my account but she said it may take awhile, especially if the merchant avoids contact.

Most cards have a 30-60 day limit on when you can dispute a charge. Don't let it go longer then that.

Looks like I may become the next idiot.
I ordered a knife 2 days ago, and am unable to get a tracking#.
My credit card was charged.
I have sent multiple e-mails from 2 different Hotmail addresses, Verizon, and now Yahoo.
My e-mail from Hotmail this morning seemed to go thru, and I inquired on the Order Status..........14 hours later I have no reply.

Now no matter how many e-mails I send they are all rejected----almost like I was put on a block list.

Don't know about Yahoo yet------just sent it and it seemed to go thru. I tried finding a phone # on the net, but it was no good either.
Credit card company says they will need to call Savson to cancel my order, and they just didn't seem to get it that they have no working phone #. Hope this works out, but I am pretty pissed right now.

I opened a new Yahoo e-mail account and Randy replied to my e-mail instantly. He was away for most of the day, and has a batch of packages ready to go out tomorrow. I told him about all the problems people are having contacting him, so hopefully he'll be able to fix that.

E-mail from Randy:
Long story short. Most of the people freaking out were probably legitimate and this is why. I had surgery a couple of months back and all of my duties were being done for me and alot of orders got screwed up and that left some unhappy people. Cards were charged that shouldn't have been and some orders got misdelivered, you name it....big mistakes. So, I am trying to recover from that and thats not easily done because those forums can be brutal and honestly people don't care what the problem is...all they know is their card was charged and they have no product. Justifiable complaints but I will get you taken care of tomorrow.

Bull, He has yet to reply to any of my emails and I sent over a dozen over the course of a over a month. Even my bank had no luck getting in direct contact with him. He says he will take care of you tomorrow but what about me who was ignored for over a month? I hope they throw him jail for mail fraud.

i'm a victim as well. got part of my knife order but not the other knife i ordered. he got paid though. $64.00 he made off of me and no knife. DO NOT BUY FROM http://www.savsonswordsandknives.com EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BOUGHT FROM HIM IN THE PAST, he is a rip off now. the lesson here is if there is no contact # or addy, don't order. really sad, i'm deploying overseas and wanted to take a couple knives with me.

Randy needs to get on the ball because of situations like yours. He needs to know that there may be many more like you who are depending on him to provide what may be life saving equipment. At least I got my money back through the chargeback process so it is no loss to me. But you are in a much more serious situation where his lack of response could mean more than a few weeks of frustration or losing a few dollars. I was going to let it go because I got my money back but after hearing your story, I realize how serious his poor customer service really is and I will try my best to least prevent a few more peole to have to go through what you had to go through.

Bottom line: Randy needs to promptly return emails and have a working telephone number.

Savson came through for me OK today. I ordered two spydies on the 14th of this month, so it took a little longer than I like, but that's not too bad. I did send him an email on Monday but never got any response though.

I had ordered from Savson before and they were a bit slow, but not terrible. This time, I ordered and paid onlline for two expensive knives that the site said were in stock. I had emailed multiple times--no answer. They had not yet charged my card, though, according to my CC company. Bottom line is that this just makes me mad. Rude. I emailed and told them to confirm shipment or to consider the order cancelled. I will NEVER deal with Savson again. This took a month.
