You're right down the road from me. Holler if you're ever in the 'Noke. As far as Seb's are concerned, watch the sale boards here religiously. You'll find a deal on a lightly used one.

Nope, Not Me. The ONLY CRK I have ever seen were my own. Never knew anyone personally that has or has ever had one.

The boards are old yankee and they are easily one of the best if not the best one can get. This is the one I got from him as Blade last year, along with some CRK goodies. :)

Well, I'll be! I've got one of those boards! It's a table-top butcher's block moreso than a cutting board, and it's wonderful. We've had it for close to five years, if I'm not mistaken. Great, great product.

On another note, Haze, are you making the trans-Atlantic trek this year for Blade? I'm going for the first time in several years. My good friend that used to go with me passed away last year, and I just didn't have the heart to go without him.

This year, I'm going with the family in tow. They'll be at the aquarium, etc. downtown while my Son and I wreak havoc at the show. Already booked the room. We'll be the ones fighting the temptation to fly some paper airplanes off the top floor of the hotel into the atrium.

I hope to see some of you folks there this year. We'll have to chat it up as things get closer.

I have never seen anyone carrying a Seb . I did however go to my buddies house who gives me crap for sporting semi expensive folding knives, and while we were working on his Willy's I seen stuffed under a bunch of AR mags in a crate was a Chris Reeve One Piece knife in a leather sheath . It looked like it had been to hell and back . When asked him about it he said his buddy gave it to him on his first tour to the desert , and that he would never get rid of it . I then said hey at least my $300 knives are in a padded case , and he hasn't gave me crap since .

As it stands now I do intend to make it to blade this year. I am flying back to Scotland on Monday for a few weeks too so it looks like I've already started a year filled with long boring flights. :(......:p

Ha! It was Old Yankee cutting boards I was referring to. Small world eh? Good stories guys.

I was looking for ammo at the local Wally-world and a dude strolled up with a Sebenza in his pocket and Glock strapped IWB. We chatted briefly about guns and knives, I did'nt get the impression that he was as much a fan as I was of CRK. His knife was a gift and he did'nt know much about it, he did mention that he enjoyed using his custom knife.

VB here...Ill be down there again this year

I recently got a startac umnum for Xmas and I've been carrying it at work. A few days ago, the owner of the restaurant I work at noticed the lanyard sticking out of my pocket and he asked to see it. He was really curious and kept asking questions about it. He was very impressed and we had a long convo that didn't involve food cost

i tend not to strike up conversation with fellow knife carriers. plenty of kids sport pocket clips on class. attached is a 6-15 dollar wallyworld sale bin knife. they wouldn't even recognize the brands spyderco or CRK would be a different language. I don't own a CRK but i have found strider to be popular among my military friends.

and while at work everyone always seems to like my knives i carry but none else carries. i actually did however hire a young kid when i saw he had a clip in his pocket. his dad had given it to him. and since then i decided to buy him a kershaw for the past holidays. he was very thankful.

I have 2 Sebbies , both small ones - one a regular plain in BG42 , I got it in 2000. The other is a 21 plain Insingo with double studs, I got this in Oct 2011.

I have friends ( honestly !!) , who appreciate good knives.

I carry either in a leather pouch on my belt, so no one would know what knife I carry.
I have never found anyone ever who carries any CRK knives here or in UK. The locals do carry knives and Leatherman tools etc.

As is usual here , no one cares if you take your knife out to cut a steak or bread in a restaurant.
Its not paranoid like in the UK.
Long may it continue !!

I have pointed out 2 sebenzas in the California bay area, one guy thought it was awesome but the other guy got freaked out.

At my shooting range the other day I talked to a guy because I saw the Strider clip in his pocket, another guy overheard us and the three of us got into a discussion about what made a Strider worth the money and why it was better than the Emerson he was carrying. Long story short he left the store with a brand new SNG

P.S. The original guy with the strider also had a Blue G-10 Hinderer 3 inch XM-18 in his back pocket... He wouldn't well it to me :(

I've seen only one other person carrying Sebenza and that's the IT guy at work (mainly a Benchmade guy). He got a large Seb after seeing mine. One other case was the time I directly dealt with a CRK dealer in San Rafael. Triple Aught Design (tactical/outdoor clothing shop) guys recognized the ones I carry, but I haven't seen anyone else actually caring one in SF Bay Area. O under where they are.

I can't say that I've ever seen anyone actually carry a Sebenza but I don't get out much either....
