There is a subtle red flag there.
There is a subtle red flag there.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
No negative comments or judgements in this post. The threads linked below are also in the other thread in the GBU. I was asked to post these here by members directly involved. Since they are only facts of what has been said and posted on BF, I feel it is appropriate.
In the two threads below, Lazy Otter obtained a (generously donated) Hinderer around the very end of September 2015 (just over a month ago) for a serviceman who was deployed at the time. He stated in the first thread that he had never owned a Hinderer before. He also said that he was going to send it in a care package? Is this the same Hinderer that he was trading SeattleDude and others?

Here is a thread where Lazy Otter sold several knives in order to get the one he wanted. The problem was that he apparently had the buyers of his knives send the money to someone else's PayPal account. Neither his buyers or the PayPal receipent said they were aware of what was taking place.

In the thread below, he apparently flaked on a deal after the seller acted very gererously.

I've dealt with Lazy Otter a couple times and the first transaction went smooth. I didn't send the knives until I got my money order in the mail.
The 2nd time I dealt with him I had a Busse Game Warden for sale and he blew up my inbox several times a day for weeks, but he didn't have the money. I told him I would hold it for a couple of months till he got the money. I held it no problem for a fellow knife enthusiast. I noticed he was buying and trading knives while I held the Game Warden for him. I waited the two to three months and I emailed him if he still wanted the knife. He didn't respond and I emailed him a few days later and he got kind of rude with me, said he didn't have the money so I just let it go.
I used to talk to him before the Game Warden fiasco and he told me was a civilian contractor that was either in Iraq or Afghanistan for a while. He is not military like he likes to portray to everyone trying to get some sort of sympathy. I don't doubt he got hurt over there while doing contractor work, but he is not military. I stopped answering his emails when he would email me every once in a while.
I recently put a busse persian fighter for sale on the forums and I did get this email on 30 September about a Hinderer he wanted to trade me for a Busse AK or my persian fighter:
