Forums, youtube, reddit, instagram, facebook, etc. show me what some people think every day, I just love it! I agree with very few of your or their opinions, though! It's just so interesting! : )
I think my cold steel CTS-XHP 4" Talwar cuts noticeably better than my Sebenza did, was much much less expensive, came sharper from the factory, holds it's edge better, has better ergonomics and is easier to grip, is warmer to the touch, stronger, safer, has a super cool wave opening option if I so choose, has a much prettier blade finish, is deadlier, and is much more intimidating and BADASS! Made by our fellow human beings living in the same world that I do, Whom I've never met but hold in great respect, who are culturally different and very interesting and I will guess are good people and probably much less of an asshole than Chris Reeve : ) I also have an AUS8 5.5" monster that is even more awesome and only cost me $65!!? I Love these knives and will never sell them, but it's not exactly worth selling. I carry them rarely.
I sold my large plain 21 a long time ago. It was more luxurious, highly precise, impressive, better craftsmanship, better artistry, made in Idaho (by an old a** hole, which is actually pretty cool lol), extreme attention to detail, much much more expensive, more valuable (lost $30 selling it), made with sweet titanium alloy slabs, old school, historic, classic, highly classy, understated, simple, eleagent, sexy, beautiful, tactile, smoooth, interesting, user friendly, and friendly looking! I was definitely more proud of owning, using, and carrying it. I was happier to have it in my pocket, pull it out around or not around people, and use it. I carried it very often.
That being said I sold it because I don't like it that much anymore relative to the smorgasbord that is out there! It was nice but check out the world of custom knives on instagram, USN, and youtube people! I'm probably subscribed to 1000 people constantly feeding me beautiful pictures and videos! I appreciate the sebenza exactly for what it is and hold great respect for it. I bought it a long time ago, and now that I've been exposed to all of the "custom" knives that I've seen so far I'm just not interested anymore! Not in the slightest. For a long time the sebenza has been relatively boring, relatively uninspiring, and relatively unattractive to me personally. My mother's co worker when I was young was a beautiful art knife maker, I haven't even delved very deep into that level$$$ of knife making yet!
The talwar is clearly the better pocket knife of the two, but I'm a man that appreciates a bit of BEAUTY and LUXURY! So many people are so adverse to a little luxury...not me lol. I'll gladly take a seb over a Cold Steel if I don't think my life is on the line! Can't wait for my CKF Gratch to show up, now that's an even more beautiful, luxurious pocket knife for only $350! Every knife has it's upsides and downsides, right now I think I probably prefer the Gratch to the other two ; )
