It looks brown to me.Pardon me Charles but how did hemlock sneak its way in to the browns....by masquerading as green but really being red so as to confuse the punters ? Dont get me wrong ...i like hemlock green....its just that...Dash it all its not brown.
Me too. Funny name for it.Most definitely looks shades of brown to me![]()
Hemlock is not a bad option, I agree that it is different! I am sticking with dark brew for now because that is what I really like, but unique is a plus.
Antique YellowA few for now. If anyone has photos of the other shades (in sawcut bone) that would be very helpful

Excuse me folks, but I have it on good authority, that red dye and brown dye, when co-mingled, make Brown!! SWFK is an accomplished artist and professor, and assures me this is so!! She has schooled me on these very basic tenets over the years, and I'll have you know we are still married!!!Pardon me Charles but how did hemlock sneak its way in to the browns....by masquerading as green but really being red so as to confuse the punters ? Bill explained to me that the red in the dye color is based off of the reddish wood just under the bark of the Eastern Hemlock (our state tree). The knives came out a bit darker, but I can see the similarities.View attachment 1587107View attachment 1587108
I pulled these images off the internet under Poison Hemlock. I believe the reddish purple parts is what Bill Howard was trying to capture with the dye. I really don’t know what to think of it in Sawcut Bone. The anti-reds certainly won’t like it.
