I am doing the orlando fl gun and knife shows all of the time. yes I am a dealer and when I am at the shows I tell every one that is there about this site and how we have the best knife makers here. after reading this thread I am going to have to rethink about this site about tell them this is the place to have a custom knife made.

It all depends on which maker a person chooses.

There are many amazing and trustworthy makers on this site. Backwoods customs instantly comes to mind.

Characterizing someone as having been "beaten down" or a "beaten dog" carries with it the "flavor" of defense, if that was not the intent it doesn't change the perception. These are usually characterizations reserved for the unfairly accused.
I believe "Mob Mentality" again is a little out of place. Members of a Forum who share a common interest have a tendency to share common interest(s) as well.
Knife Makers to Knife lovers is a little like Motor Builders are to Racing.
If I saw a Motor Builder treat a racer anything like what went on here I would speak up too. Likewise if it could be PROVEN that the racer asked (with knowledge) for the builder to knowingly build something illegal or out of spec - that racer would be run out on a rail.
Nothing is anything if void of integrity.

I believe your "taste buds" are flawed. Don't know either of them, don't care to.

The 19th I am back at the show for the week end. I have not heard or read about a knife maker ripping some off like this before on this site:thumbdn:. I am so honest that people keep coming back to me and sometimes they bring there friends too. I just don’t want to recommend here then have them get screwed over like this guy because they are going to look at me and wtf is going on. I think it will make me look very bad if that happens.

So one maker flakes out and this throws a wet blanket over the efforts of all the honest and hard working makers on this site? Please tell me that's not how you see things. The forum you currently posting in is here to help people avoid getting in to a bad deal. You would better serve the people you are directing here to check this forum first.

This isn't the first time this maker has done something like this. So people know his rep around here. Just look at feedback on their profile. You'll get an idea of the other makers.

If you read my quote of Jim's post about ten or more pages ago Jim seems to have turned a corner. He admitted fault and asked Gods forgiveness. I honestly thought we'd have this matter settled and Jim could return to making knives (presuming the refund came through) and rebuilding his reputation.

Instead Jim shifted into sixth gear approaching the cliff. This whole episode is really sad.

Even though I locked horns with you right around then, I definitely agree with you regarding the above.

Also, he didn't shift into sixth gear... he turned on the solid fuel rocket boosters and let go of the wheel.

WOW, fifteen pages of a TRAIN WRECK!! WTF, I have purchased from MANY HONEST makers on this forum and I have been impressed with the gratitude. Now, on the other hand, certain makers seem to be BiPolar in their disposition. Jim (Send the refund already, you just sold a nice knife) Delwin (Receive your refund) and MOVE ON! Wether We as buyers choose to look the other way and buy from certain makers is our prerogative or mistake to be made.
In the wise words of Jerry Busse.... LETS DRINK!

Mate you were just calling it as you saw it. Nothing wrong with that.

Everyone should research a purchase before ordering. That is the point of this sub-forum, to help people make informed decisions and avoid pitfalls.

If there are any "Guests" that might have an ear of Mr. Adams. .. Not too late to do the right thing.
Here's hoping that might still happen.
