How about a few Canal Streets (sorry I've got the pearl backwards :( )

Isn't the pearl made without a shield, Eric? It looks right way to me. Nice batch of knives!!

Flawed, like so many of us Old-timers, even one broken blade, but venerable and elegant, these are all split backspring whittlers, some from as far back as before 1900. Carefully fitted with a brass wedge to divide the springs and blades.

I am really digging those Canal Streets, they are great...Thanks for sharing...:D

I was so blown away from these beauty's, that I forgot I had a whittler myself....It must have been the deep pool of drool....

My Grand Fathers pocket knife from when I was a kid visiting my family back in Hungary in the early 70's,(he used that knife to cut the home smoked meats he had hangin' in the pantry for the sandwiches we ate when I was twelve)(my cousin gave it to me this past summer when I took my daughter back home to meet the family)

Last but not least a couple of Uncloset Queens with Winterbottom Bone Handles.

What a great bunch of whittlers you guys are sharing here. Good Stuff!!

Well, I just got this one in today from a fine fellow BF forum member. It is a real beauty imho. It was new and mint when I got it this afternoon, and had the Queen factory edge. I got out my Edge Pro and after about 35 minutes (had a beer in there somewhere :), it's Friday ), I had all 3 of the D2 blades razor sharp with a 20 degree per side edge. Sweet, sweet, sweet is all I can say. I am sold on the combo of Edge Pro and Queen D2. I could have used a Sharpmaker, but it would have taken me considerably longer.

Real Stag and D2...woohoo :D

Hey T.E. Why don't you post your Hungarian knife in the Hawkbill thread?? They'd love it over there!

Sorry folks not all my pics were whittlers, actually only two come close.

I need to read before postin'.

T. Erdelyi,
I'd NEVER complain about seeing a collection like that , nice winterbottoms!

Fantastic whittlers fewpop, sunburst and waynorth. Here are a few of my Boker whittlers. The one with the wood handle is a 1982 special edition and the redbone from the 135 anniversary series made in 2004.

Nice Bokers s-k! I didn't know laser shield inlay was possible back in the 80's!?! Is it inlaid? I like the "tree".

Thanks waynorth. I believe the tree is inlaid in the wood scale. The knife comes in a collectors' box with a sharpening stone as well. Will try to get more Boker whittlers on in the next few days.

I wouldn't want anyone to miss this guy, so even though it's in the "Barlows" thread, its rightful place is here with the whittlers. A Stan Shaw fancy whittler: Gold-lip pearl, filework, and engraved bolsters!
These pictures are dedicated to our UK friend s-k! (Note, I said the PICTURES!)

Wow! That is a beautiful knife waynorth. I saw a few of his knives in a book and I was going to buy his Master Cutler book so that I could see plenty more because that may be the closest I get for awhile. Thanks for sharing that with us.
