Sharpest new knife you ever purchased?

After getting more into sharpening I'm not impressed with factory edges anymore, my sharpest have all been by spyderco , thats for sure, and probably zdp-189 endura was the sharpest, or a gayle bradley, the Super Blue endura had a decent edge on it as well, but had a little bit of a burr on it out of the box.

My Rat 1 was the sharpest out of the box. Popped arm hairs effortlessly.
My Spydercos and Hard Edge Knives are close runner ups with Emerson just a hair behind.

Konosuke gyuto and sujihiki in white 2. One of the few knives I actually did not have to sharpen out of box.

None of my folders came sharp. Not even my CRKs.
But I have high standards of sharp.

I've received several very sharp knives, but edging out everything was an RJ Martin Q36.

I agree, as your knife sharpening skills progress, your interpretation of sharpness progresses as well, I have found that what I consider dull, or at least in need of some work, most people consider it sharp, Seeing someone use a truly sharp knife for the first time is a site to see, the facial expressions followed by something along the lines of "my God" is priceless.

Tie between my contego and my full sized plain edge commander. Although most edges out of box satisfy me, these were hair splicing sharp and very impressive

The Fallknivens came screaming sharp but the S1 was so sharp I could barley shave with it. The moment it touched my skin it would bite into the flesh.
A Military surprised me when it split hairs right out of the box.

I can't really say for certain which was the sharpest but the Mora Robust, Spyderco Endura4 FFG and Kershaw Blur seemed scary sharp out of the box. Sharp enough that you got bit if you didn't play close attention.

My wife opened something a few days ago with my Sebenza. You're right that look is priceless.

My youngest son stopped by an hour ago and after reading this thread went to his truck and brought back his Antonini Electricians Cable knife. At the mere sight of it the hairs on my arm quickly organized themselves into a trade union, elected a steward, and marched off my arm refusing to participate. :D
Had it since he turned out 3 years ago. Never sharpened it. I was impressed.

Kershaw DoubleCross had the sharpest factory edge I've gotten on any knife.
