Shipping issues with The Sun

I've dealt with him in the past and he takes alittle long but comes through in the end, i got scales for a 350 ZT and a 551 ZT and they look bada$$, he probaly just getting back on his feet with the lung problem he had. I hope he comes thru for you guyz

A little time ? I have been waiting on my knives for over 6 months now....
 
Yeah, I paid for a custom XM 18 ti slab in early Oct. Sadly, I've heard all the same excuses but no product nor refund.

I waited for over a year for the work to get done, but that isn't the issue.
The issue is that he SAID he shipped the knife, yet it doesn't show up in the USPS system (or at my house), and he SAID he initiated a trace, yet the USPS has said, on 4 occassions thus far, that this is also not the case.
 
Well, what's right is right. Holding onto someone else's property is not cool in any way. Sorry to hear about the illness, but saying that something has shipped multiple times and have nothing to prove it is straight up dishonest. A good friend and coworker once told me, "Keep your focus at all times, it only takes one 'Oh Sh!t' to ruin hundreds of 'Atta Boys'..."
 
I've waited almost six months for a Horseman he was supposed to make into a framelock, plus he has the $140 I gave him.

No one got burned on anything. i got sick for three months with a lung infection and peoples time frames got pushed back. Yes, people have waited a long time, but it is what it is. Nothing has been stolen, no money has been wasted. if you want your project finished it's still here. if you don't want your project finished it's either being shipped back to you, or has already been shipped back to you and a refund will be given.

as for shipping issues...i have no control over that. there have been issues with my PO here in San Antonio, but they all got worked out and everyone got their knives back!!! out of 300+ shipments in the pas year or so only three packages have be lost completely between USPS and FedEx and those packages were covered with insurance.

i can understand people being frustrated about waiting for their knives, but there is nothing criminal going on here. Bottom line is that i can't work on knives if i'm in the hospital, i can't work on knives if i'm dead, and i don't work for USPS.

Like i've said before, and i'll say it again...I'll make sure everyone is taken care of that wants to be.

Jeff, why would the USPS say no trace has been initiated on four occassions over a period of a couple of weeks after a trace was supposedly initiated?
I can see them losing a package, but losing a package and knowledge of a trace as well?
 
I think its pretty bad form that Jeff used the money he took upfront before he knew his customers were pleased and had their goods back. If I were him, and this is how I run all my own sales and purchases, I'd put the cash into an artificial escrow until I had fully satisfied my customers.

And now Jeff is selling his own knives on JD... I wonder if the buyer of that tanto MT will ever receive his knife... and if he does why its taking so long on so many occasions for Jeff to get the knives that people own back to them... Kinda screwed up if you ask me...
 
Make no bones about it, Jeff, you took my money under the assumption that you would do work, but instead spent the money with no product being made and aren't willing to return the money. That's stealing. How about just give me MY money back like you and your wife have stated you would do time and time again for months. You've already admitted to another forum member you spent his money, so why would I assume you still have my $120 sitting in your paypal account but won't return it to me? Pretty simple concept Jeff, I want my money back but you won't return it. What else do you want to call it other than theft?

if you call USPS and reference the tracking number they will tell you about the trace on the package, it's that simple.

the knife was sent today for your info., not that it's your business before any money changed hands.

As for everyone else you will all get your money back. Yes the money was spent. My becoming ill really threw a wrench in the program and that's where all the money went if you must know it's pretty much bled me dry. i'm working to get your money as quickly as possible without putting my family out on the street. if you have anymore questions you can all contact me personally.

All I want is communication, if you would just answer emails, give an accurate time frame, (even if it's going to bbe 2 years, be honest,) and take responsibility when you get caught in a lie, you can still make it out of this with a future. Otherwise, this unfortunate business over the past year is going to follow your name all over the internet.

Like I said I'm happy to keep waiting! I know you were/are sick and I'm cool to be patient, but please don't ignore me, and please be honest.

Well that's bizarre now.
I had called three times, and my wife had called once, and they said on each occassion that no trace had been initiated.
NOW, today, they finally tell me that a trace WAS initiated on April seventh, and that they're waiting on Canada Post to get back to them, which can take 23 days, which would mean by the 30th.
This makes the matter even more stupid, as it seems the USPS has certainly screwed up to a certain extent, as they were telling me and my wife inaccurate information on four occassions over a period of a few weeks.
Totally screwed up.

im calling USPS right now. i've initialted a trace on that package three times, as you have found out now. once at my PO as i told your wife, then twice over the phone. i'm glad you finally got the real info.

USPS says that Canada has until the first weekend in May to get back to them. i just chewed them out for giving the wrong info. .......but all they say is call back and they may have more information.
 
He sent me my money back right away on a screw up purchase on JD last month. Jeff, when you get caught up let me know and I'll get with you on a scale. Sorry to hear about your health. I hope everything works out with the people that are upset.

I too have just recently had an issue with Jeff. I sent 3 knives to be worked on and the time that he stated ran over. Today 2 of my knives came back and I can tell you I've forgotten all about the long wait.

This guy does GREAT work on the scales. Fit and finish is top notch. I'm beyond happy with how they turned out.

There was an issue with the last knife and out of frustration I asked him to return it and he did,no work to it :(.

Jeff made up for it by GIVING me a knife. WTF a ZT350 with G11 scales!

In my book we are more than square Jeff.

I hope your health and business improves. You're such a talent and I hope things can get in order so they we all may enjoy your work.

To this point, no, nothing concrete. We had some communication and I offered Jeff a couple options(finish a project in a set time that I agree to, taking something else of similar value that I agree to or refund), but nothing solid. I really don't like feeling like I'm ruining Jeff's name, but I'd hate to read of potential customers having similar experiences without me giving my experience. And I feel it's important to let people know Jeff told me things in PMs ( I have them) but said other things publicly. As result,it's difficult for me to read things I know to be untrue without stating my experience.
