Must be they decided on another model number for the glass breaker because in the catalog it is GBBLKST.

Few questions. First, why would you do something like this to what is for some of us, a very collectible item? Second (and most important), how do you figure this is "improved"? How is this still considered "new"? And finally, ruin it and then ask $135 + shipping???? I notice no one has jumped on it at all yet..........

Just saddens me to see this happen to a Gray. :(

I saw that and it was painful. Sometimes it's better just to let it slide right out of your mind rather than give yourself an aneurism trying to figure out why some people do the things they do and think they way they think. They were limited and only carried by a particular distributor and not marketed as anything special so many people who bought them have treated them as nothing special. The same I believe is true of the blue models. There were 3 of them that sold for $100 each in December and now they are selling for around the $250 mark, although I admit I've had large part in driving them to that price...

Aaaahhhh! I was waiting to see if someone else would post that on here. Being a fan of waved knives like Emersons is one thing [respect] but to do it to a Blur? I don't know man. Improved is definitely a matter of opinion on that one, and a Gray of all Blurs!

This is probably the best picture of my S30v Blur

Not a bad pic, I've definitely seen worse, and in the sale forums at that! :p

(Side note: why don't they make more version of the Skyline? The leek and blur get tons of love. Is there not enough demand? It's to low in price to begin with? Are the leek and blur someone's favorites at Kershaw? Just wondering.)[/QUOTE]

I just started collecting the various Skylines, and I love them and hope they eventually come out with more varients, but I'm on unemployment right now, so I need to get a job before they come out with a bunch more and I wind up getting way behind! LOL!

G-10 Twill

Tom

One of my favorites. Still say THE prettiest Blur would be a Blue or Purple with the silver G-10 inserts.

Yea I "may" have had a small part in that happening too. :D

LOL.........wonder how many of these the guy ruined......er......had made because now I see he's got a S30V and a plain Jane up there. Must have decided not to sell the gray because he said in the description he guessed he'd rather keep it and increased the starting bid to $235. Oh best part........."Improved for easy deployment". HUH??? Not sure but my Blur comes out to view the sun pretty quickly without cutting a notch in the top of it. LOL

Can' you just buy the gray for the handle, and then switch out the blade?
I don't know if that will work but if its really that rare then its worth it

No it doesn't really work that way. You kind of need the blade to go with the handle since Kershaw doesn't supply new blades. :) If I wanted just a gray for the handle I could take one of my blacks and get it stripped and anodized. Unless you want a frankinblur, mixing and matching blades to handles isn't something most collectors do. :)

Took some time and networking to get it done, but I finally got one. 1670BL

Hopefully you didn't have to pay $300! BTW I wish I had your connections. :p

On another subject. The blue hoarder struck again! I went to $275.95 and he got it for $280.95. Should have listened to my "backer" and gone what she suggested of at least 3 but I didn't. I've come to the conclusion that if one comes up on there it's a waste of time to try and bid because the guy is going to bid whatever it takes. :( That is at least 5 blues he has now. Must be he's trying to get all 200 made..........
