Id still like to get the story behind these, so far I can figure it out. There is no birth date, so they arent that old and its not an up and coming run from what I understand... so what is it??!?!
 
Someone at KAI told me they were an exclusive to a big retailer. I'm guessing they were made out of spare red handles they had
after the 1670RD and 1675RDST were discontinued. This retailer is known to have picked up some exclusive models in the past made from spare parts
or exclusives that are a slight variation made from parts of existing models, including some in the Blur line.

I'll see him at the OKCA knife show tomorrow. I'll ask if he knows any more now than he did the other day. I'm planning on picking a few up from him.
I figured some money should go somewhere other than the postal service.

My guess is these just haven't shown up for sale by the retailer yet and the blems are for sale like the fixed blade Skylines, the 0350OR and probably other
models where the blems appeared before the regular models appears or before anyone knew of the models existence. The past tense used because they have no
plans to make more, they've already been made, but the ones they have made still haven't appeared for sale yet.

I am OFTEN wrong though and 98% of the above is speculation. I'm hesitant to say anything because I'm afraid when they show up, if they do, they will all be gone before I get one! :)
 
Thats the only thing that makes sense. They are sitting the the warehouse for the retailer or KAI, and ready to be sold. I like that speculations
 
Yeah I picked one up (Red Tanto) incase I miss the real thing. Picked up a blem Tigerstripe too as the place where they are sold I dont do business with and they are nothing special anyway. When I run into the nonblem someday Ill grab one. Also got a sg10 and a OD in great condition and a s60v blem. The quest continues lol

Hoping this is right. Of course I already have enough knives on my list to buy without adding another one. :) Still can't believe the 0350ORs haven't shown up anywhere but 2 places on evilbay. :confused:
 
Yeah, on the bay and with biohazard logos laser etched! Looks like they sold one or two unmolested. They must have got hit with a clue-by-four!

Y'all are gonna hate me, but I just don't really like the Blur. I do love that there are all the different versions of it in several colors with different accents & blade shapes & materials. Maybe if the blade had a flipper like my Leeks, ZT 301s & 350s, then I might like it more? Maybe I just don't care for thumbstuds anymore?

The blur has perfect studs for fast deployment though.
