Show me your Blur!

What blade steel is used on those carbon fiber models everyone is posting
I ask cause I ordered my first (green handle carbon fiber insert) from Dave yesterday

Yeah, Chester is the man. Several other folks around here also, have been extremely helpful with finding pieces, and pointing me in the right direction. I can seriously say I'm thankful to be a part of this little community here.

In Blur news, I seriously think I found my perfect knife. For a while it was the Knockout, but the mandatory assist and standard blade steel still had me searching. I was interested in the Blur, but with all the versions, one thing or another kept me away from really putting one into use. The CF154 version came out, and pretty much sealed the deal for me.

I just got mine from Dave, and proceeded to drill and tap the CF and aluminum area just above the pivot, for a lefty tip-down clip, the deep carry one I had put on my Skyline. The CF is smooth, and goes into and out of my pocket perfectly, which was one the best things about the Knockout's aluminum handle. Without the TracTec inserts, the lefty clip works. The blade steel is fantastic, the size is perfect, and it's an amazing manual opener now. As smooth as my 0550. I prefer thumb studs, so this setup is choice.

I'm in love guys, hardcore.

That looks really good, Stick. Its weird at first because I have never seen that before. The CF is really smooth and I love how it feels in the hands and how it comes out of the pocket. The Franken Blur 1670GRNCFCPM154 got the Blur back in my pocket, that CF is doing some great things for the Blurs.

Yeah, this is the probably the greatest knife community out there. Everyone is more then willing to help out someone else. If it wasn't for this forum, then I don't think that I would ever be this far into knives. Glad that I'm a part of it.

I was able to purchase a black bladed OD-2 because of another awesome member on here. I didn't even know that it was up on evilbay , and he pointed it out to me and it should be here between the 12-15th.
 
Well, I gave in & have 2 coming from Dave. I love the Tiger striped ZTs, so that & & the Glass Breaker.

Premium steel should go with premium handle :).. Just a keeper :thumbup:
Can't resist $ CF Blur from Dave, got another & still waiting my haul..
