NICE looking Bowie. . .I dig the guard!!! I've started blacksmithing lately and that is something that I can make and can now appreciate more since I know what goes into making it. . .and I have become a real sucker for tomahawks now, can't wait to make some of my own!!!

I really like all the forged blades on this thread that leave the hammer marks and rough forging showing!!! Gives the knives SO much character!!!

Nice looking blade. . .BRT!

Here is a custom monster chopper made by Justin Gingrich of Ranger Knives. 5/16 in. thick, 2 1/4 in. wide, 15.5 in. overall with a 10 in. blade, and made in s-7.

Hi HTalon,

I haven't beat on that Dan Farr competition cutter but I have used its identical twin an awful lot and can tell you it is one HECK of a cutter.

I would dearly love to pry that knife out of Dan's hands and have a matched set of user and presentation grade.

My black powder coat has seen some use, and the Canadian Bushwhacker has seen plenty. I wish I had more frequent opportunity to put a really big knife to use.

Roger, you're welcome to visit any time! Lots of opportunity out here my friend. Let me know if you'll ever be out this way ok?

Best chopper I've ever handled, bar none.

I wish he'd just make a couple new ones out of CruForgeV! I've tried guilt, shame, bribery, begging... even a little weeping with the big moon-eyes look. No results so far...

Love this Knife!! Let us know how it performs in the cutting contest.

I try with speed test (orenge shirt is me) just the day before cutting contest. It's still fine.

Hi Wana, do you built that knife yourself?
It performs great
Congrats to you Wana!

I just received Supat CVA's version of Meed Larb a Mae Hong Sorn jungle knife!
It has a 13" blade (i.e. + integral bolster) and 6" antler handle (i.e. - integral bolster) :)

Haven't test it yet!
Feels great in hands
