Show me your custom camp knife/chopper.

Yep, my wife and I will be there. We just bought our tickets. It looks like I'll have a table at the show as well. I'll be sure and stop by your table.

Lorien, I'm glad you'll be busy with work but I hope to meet you sometime in the future. Maybe next year.

This is a Test Chopper called "The Vegan Croc." I rough forged from 52100. I will be making one for a customer in W2 over the next few weeks. I am really looking forward to the field testing over the next week or two. It is designed for Sapling and green chopping.

Thanks Rick, I really appreciate that. I look forward to finishing up the more refined one in W2.

one of the truest choppers yet!

Glued, Blued and Tattooed.

Here's a camp knife I just finished up for the Blade Show. 10" blade with an OAL of 16". The steel is 1095, full tang handle of curly maple slabs. The blade and pins have been cold blued. I am a big fan/admirer of Joe Keeslar's work so I wanted to try his upset choil, "Brut de Forge". Well, it didn't come out anywhere near as nice as his but it was a lot of fun. Made me happy, happy, happy.

There's something about this knife as a whole that's just really stunning to me. I can't put my finger on it, but I'm blown away.

You've been killing it with the large blades lately. Nice work!

Not a huge fan of the brut de forge genre, sure liking this one though.
As Meier66 mentioned, nice flow for a Camp knife.
Thanks for showing, Mike !
