Show off your 15's

Patterns can be repeated but certainly the handles, blades and bolsters, (or no bolsters) can all be different indeed. So not the same knife at all.

Thanks @Half/Stop Ron, never noticed CAR on a GEC tang before, but then again I only buy certain styles.

I am kinda disappointed in this - it just doesn’t seem at all traditional, let alone ‘ancient’. Probably better not to stamp anything at all, than to stamp something that doesn’t make a lot of sense. When there was only a choice of carbon steel, knife makers didn’t need to tell the buyer that was what type of steel the blade was made from. Just as GEC doesn’t write ‘metal’ or ‘MOM’ (made of metal) on their knife blades in the expectation that one day they might be made from something else that hasn’t yet been invented.

It's on the what's happening page. It's called "Dark Chestnut", which is a dye they have used before, but not on 15s. It will look different after polishing from the Chestnut Peachseed TCs.

and single blade too :D:D:D

It seems strange they would make single blade 15's, then do double blade 15's, and then switch back to single blade 15's? And it appears they will switch back to double 15's to finish out the M&G SFO.

Maybe GEC runs multiple production lines or cells?

Or possibly they don't release them as they are produced.

mrknife mrknife , you could sew a button on your scrubs and then you would have an attachment point for the new bail and chain 15s! :)

I bet scrubs pockets really like to lose knives.
