Show off your 15's

This is to you Bigbiscuit. Long ago, I had gotten one of my earliest 15s that I bought from @LastRodeo modified by @glennbad . When it was done, I thought it was the perfect knife, if GEC had made more like it Im sure Id have bought 5.

It was like new and I babied it, rarely carried it. Bob had seen I have trouble using new knives and sent this to me as a gift,

A 15 he had rescaled and was a user, hoping it would help me with my problem. Of course with his passing, the knife itself has tremendous sentimental value and I would be very upset if I lost it. I was fortunate enough to grab quite a few of the 15s in time, on this go around. This one has been modified and ready for the pocket in it's stead.

So far I have a black clip and a green spear and will likely go after an ebony with bail and chain. Both have been perfect out of the tube and wicked sharp although once again I'm a loser on the button front. That makes five straight GECs without buttons. You would think that for over three bills worth of knives they could be a little more generous with their two cent tchotchkes.

Oh if I could just find one TC Ancient Scratted bone, I would be so happy!:D Like looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

I’ve been comparing the two Micarta 2018 models to my soup bone TC today. GEC nailed it with the pull weight and walk & talk. These two feel every bit as nice as the Soupbone TC right out of the tube. The last two TC’s and my Blade Forums TC did not feel quite as nice as these two Micarta versions. I’d say the pull weight is a 5. I’d be happy with a 6 or even higher, but not any lower. (The last 56 I got really stunk, it has a pull weight of about a 3 and then barely closes. After many washes and oil rinses it is only about 5% better)55732FBD-50F1-4DE7-8251-20431D502231.jpeg

Great job USPS!!! My black micarta is at 7 days and counting for 3 day small flat rate. What a crock! Anyway, I just got this dandy user in a swap for the red micarta to hold me over. Thank you Michael @LastRodeo

I do have quite a fondness for the 2-blade 15s. They feel so much better in the hand than the singles. You got a nice one there!
