Show off your Fiddlebacks and Leather

I have a question:
Do you have a dedicated sheath for ever fiddle back knife you own, or do you carry multiple knives in the same sheath (not at the same time obviously)?

The real answer to this question is that you should own two sheaths for every knife you own and they should be from Diomedes Industries. ;)

When Fiddleback Outpost and I were talking of designing sheaths - the goal we kept in mind and worked very hard on was to make a sheath fit as many models that Andy makes as we could without sacrificing functionality as well as security of your blade (and purchase).

The only thing I want to mention here is that a larger handled blade will form the sheath to it in a fashion that may not allow a thinner handled knife (that otherwise fits) to be as secure as it could be. I am fortunate that I form every knife to a sheath I make - however - I have noticed that when trying to simply swap out another knife that it may not be as secure as I would like it.

I encourage you to take this into account when and if you swap out your blade As an example - a sheath that fits an Bear Cub (our Count Model) after it has been used for a Bear Cub for some time will likely not hold a EDC I or II very well, simply due to the difference in the handle shapes.

Anyway, that is my two pennies on the topic - I am excited to see other replies.

Excellent reply, great sales pitch . I am really enjoying the ASP Earl I received from Fiddleback Outpost this week. That is what kind of drove the question. I have always had a dedicated sheath for each knife I have. I try to carry the same knife in the same sheath so that the leather will mold to the knife. I have done the wet forming technique an it turned out really well. Fits like a glove. Just curious what everyone else here thinks and does.

And here I want to add more knives so that I have a reason to buy more kewl sheaths.... :o

Diomedes Trekker Sheath and Fiddleback Duke. The quality of both is impeccable.

Sorry for the lousy cell phone pictures, I'll have to get some better with the real camera and outdoor light asap.

I make my own sheaths so theoretically I can make one for every knife but in general I have three that are small for runts only, two that are medium sized for my stubbymuks, pipsqueak, and pocket kepharts and one large one for my new sylvrfalcen and hiking buddy

Heep,

I think you know this and are just showing off the handle - but the blade inserts quite a bit deeper in the sheath. The first time can be a little stiff - but don't be afraid. It will bottom out against the welt.

Yeah I make my welts about 1/2 an inch at the bottom just in case... also all these are deep carry sheaths so yeah I really shove the blade as far as it can go... don't wanna scare my coworkers or customers lol

Nice sheaths. I really like your Sylverfalcen. I have been looking at those as well as the EDC II with the one off grind.

Here are two I just got from Nix Customs. The attention to detail and overall quality is AWESOME. It is really hard to pick a favorite sheath maker; every one I have tried that posts here is simply awesome.

Just got the EDC II one off grind in the mail today. The Diomedes APS Count sheath showed up yesterday. The EDC II is amazing. The handle just melts into your hand. The grind! It is super thin and crazy crazy sharp. The sheath fits it perfectly and is very well put together. They are a match made in heaven.
