Show off your Fiddlebacks and Leather

Just got the EDC II one off grind in the mail today. The Diomedes APS Count sheath showed up yesterday. The EDC II is amazing. The handle just melts into your hand. The grind! It is super thin and crazy crazy sharp. The sheath fits it perfectly and is very well put together. They are a match made in heaven.

Thanks for sharing that. I have an Earl APS that I use for my Gaucho sometimes when I let Alayna use my dangler, and it also works great for the Lonestar when I am pocket carrying it. I like the depth for front pocket carry. But for a belt sheath I would like a little more handle exposure.

Is this a Count APS? I may need a couple of these. The Earl lets the Bushboot sit a bit deeper than I like for pocket carry.

OneDog, thank you for the review! I've been really happy working with Badger Creek Leatherworks on these and am hoping to get in a few more product lines of theirs. I'm so happy the knife rolls are hitting the mark with everyone! Would love to repost a couple of these pics if I could.

Absolutely. Repost away.

I'm really liking how the Diomedes APS sheaths are helping me solve work-week carry....

That Esquire is still one of my favorites...that jeans shot is fantastic! It doesn't get much better than that! Stoked you are enjoying Jason's work.

The Esquire is one of my favorites, too. ;) [It almost doesn't seem fair to find The One so soon into all of this, but I ain't complaining. :D] And yes, Jason's work is fantastic. As is Rick Lowe's-- I'm looking forward to another cross-draw belt sheath from him as well. :)

My Patch knife is in an Earl (and can skrunk down a little lower into the sheath than is seen in my post above); this is my Esquire in a Baron.

Robert @fiddlebackoutpost is fluent in the ins and outs of which knives fit into which APS sheaths, and their depth of carry therein. He's been way helpful, including sharing pictures we know not of, until asked. ;)

(Thanks, Robert!)

A nice crossdraw sheath from Rick Lowe arrived yesterday. Fits my hiking buddy perfectly.

Looks great! Is that giraffe bone...?

I am grateful for Rick's work.

Cool detailing, the way he made the sheath's lip echo the lines of the Esquire's handle:

I am not grateful for colder weather (other than on principle-- I do enjoy the turning of the seasons), but there's a definite silver lining: the extra layers required to keep my bones warm make it easier/possible to wear my Esquire at my belt more often at work vs. in my pocket.

[My pocket sheaths are Way Cool®, but Rick's cross-draw sheath keeps my knife more accessible, frees up my pocket, and is more comfortable-- I forget it's there, to the point that I've been known to go looking for my knife, assuming I've left it somewhere....]

I love how the Esquire's sheath and knife handle are becoming burnished as I carry and use them:

Meanwhile, my APS Army grows apace...

So, in sticking with the latest cross draw theme, ya'll inspired me to lay out some of my favorites.

Just ordered the Diomedes XCarry Earl in walnut. I have been curious about these sheaths since they were released. I am interested to see how high the sheath is going to ride on my belt. The pictures of the sheath on the Fiddleback Outpost really help out. Had a few bucks banging around in my paypal account so I figured why not.

That's the spirit! PS - how much is left in that PayPal account? We can find something to send you... :)

Now it's my turn to need your help. I am considering this style sheath, Could you please post a pic of the Stubby Muk, and the Esquire side by side ?
