Here's a shot of my lab Ruby from a few weeks ago. We spent the whole day on the trails, or scampering through caves and up steep inclines. She was a real trooper throughout, and she decided to reward herself with a splash through the mud at the end of the day. At least she didn't roll in it this time ...

I love this thread. The pictures are great, and there are some awesome stories. Watchful, good on you for rescuing your latest pup!

All the best,

- Mike

Awesome story Watchful! God bless you and all others that take in helpless animals. I look forward to the day when I can take in a pet dog or two again. Keep us posted on Sally's progress and be sure to post more pics!

Great story Watchful - you're a good man

Here's the latest one being forced to be a Nintendo DS holder by the kids :). Really didn't need him with 3 already plus the cat but someone dumped him in the weeds by the river at the park and being the softy that I am. No idea what he will turn out to be but so far a great dog.

I don't have a dog, but I've been keeping my daughter's mutt puppy for a few days. If this keeps up, I'll turn into one of those "dog lovers".

Clavinr, that picture is hysterical. Thanks for posting. I chuckled in recognition of that angry stare. "This better be worth it. I was smack in the middle of a dream where I had to eat my way out of a sausage factory."

Anybody know what this dogs genesis is? He looks to be a large shepherd, yet it's brindle?
We got him from the pound and he's great with the kids, but very protective.
