SHOW us what you do for a living (or retiring)

Wow. I feel like a loser. I work 20 hours a week in a grocery store deli making minimum wage. For fun and profit i go out scrapping in the neighborhood taking stuff people put in the trash and recycle it.

You're no loser. When I went to college (lot of good it did me being a brick mason and all) I used to go and donate plasma 4 times a month just to pay the insurance on my car. I also hit up everyone in my family for their aluminum cans for extra fun money. Do what you have to do until you can do what you want to. Masony is a good skill for me and allows me to take care of my three girls. If I didn't have that, I would do what I HAD to do to take care of them.

YOU'RE NO LOOSER.....;)

Taught middle school science, 7th grade, for 34 years.
No wonder I drank so much:eek:

Seriously, it was a great career and when I retired, half of
my teaching team were my ex-students. I guess I did
something right.:)

Thank you, teaching is one of the hardest, under-appreciated jobs.

Me too! You program them as well don't you Mike? What CAM system?

I program and run a Haas VM-2, 3D Systems SLA 7000, Miscellaneous machine/tool design build aspects as well as CAD/CAM support. Many machines later, I am working on moving to the other side of the fence. I have been working on my Mechanical Engineering degree :)

We use Mastercam, Smartcam, and the mold/die guys use Delcam.

I program the old fashioned way; at the control!! :D

We have dedicated programmers who use the software, but simple stuff is programmed by the operators at the machine.

After many years, I'm hoping that I'll soon be done with the bar business. I've been working at getting on with the water company for some time now and I'm getting really close.
