Show us your Randalls

I have had these Model 5-6's in the works for quite a while. I wanted them all on one order, so I had to wait for my authorized RMK to find room for me. It was well worth the wait.

All 5 knives are the same. 6" SS blade, NSH, Black and Aluminum spacers, customer supplied handle material and BPH. All the sheathes are black, no hone pocket. The wood, left to right, Flame Box Elder, Tineo, Thuya Burl, Black Ash Burl, Black and White Ebony. I like the Box Elder the least and the Thuya the most. I took the pictures before I took the time to clean up the blades and put Ren wax on them. The blades are much cleaner now.

Don't mind you moving the pics, at all.

It is interesting to see what different people choose as their favorite.

The Thuya and the black and white ebony are spectacular. The others are not too bad either.:D

I've had a few over the years, but this is my only one now:

Nice Stryker, classics! Thanks for the grip tape idea!

Rod, this one is for you... :D

I think that's eight options not counting the sheath...

Hey Sheldon. I agree with your count of 8 options. What is the handle material?

The five option limit is a relatively new thing.
Am I counting right? 1 stainless. 2 Sawteeth. 3 Brass double hilt. 4 brass and black spacers. 5 commando handle. 6 White micarta. 7 Rounded brass butt cap. 8 Thong hole?

Mack That is the 8 options I counted. I am not sure of the handle material, but it is an option.

Hey Rod, it's that whitish gray pasty paper Micarta for the early '90's ('92 to '96 IIRC)...it can't be scrimmed, doesn't polish up, and doesn't have much soul - but it looks closer to real Ivory other than anything except AI. The knife is well optioned for a knife of this period. :)

Mack, you are mostly correct - a max of five options has been the norm for about five years or so. I've got several dozen with five or more options, eight being the max - starting to thing I should hold on to 'em for a few more years...

Any chance of seeing some 7 inch + models you have ?

Editted - I have checked out the link to your site ... are they all your current stock ?

Greetings from a newbie! I've admired Randalls for many years, and owned a few for the past 13 or 14 years.
Posted below are pictures on my Model 16, which I believe dates from the 1967 -1972 time period. I base that assumption upon what I believe to be a "Separate S" and the unlined thong hole. There are no markings on the back of the sheath, aside from the Randall logo. I welcome comments from the many experts on this forum, especially if they can confirm or deny my assumptions. I'll post more pics of my other Randalls soon.
