Show us your Randalls

It's a Model #10-3; the camera angle makes the blade look longer. Your single pin #10-3 was made using 440B steel; a double pin #10-3 is made from ATS-34 (at least early on, when ATS-34 was first used in the early 1990's) - two pin handled #10-5's and #10-7's are made using 440B, while three pin versions are made from ATS-34, the last I heard.

*The above pertains to those Model #10's with lanyard holes - prior to the introduction of that option on this model, most standard production Model #10's were made using 440B steel...Hope that helps...

Very nice Lisa.........

Here is my latest one to add to my small but growing collection of Model 1-8 SS. I am going to try and collect as many handle configurations of older knives as I can.........

Very nice knives guys! Steve, good luck with that... :D

Older photo taken early on - the RMK addiction got much worse soon after...

Hah, you're right, nary a RMK in sight at Blade...lol

Say, I've shipped to some pretty far-flung lands, but have never shipped to SA - should the opportunity arise, are there any particular delivery concerns? As an example, I'll only ship via Express Mail to Italy...

Great sig line pic - have fun at Blade!

makandr, that is absolutely perfect. Thanks for sharing.

The picture below is not of me. I recently found it while sorting through some photos from "back in the day". I had originally found the 8X10 in the ROTC building at Northeastern University, just after returning from Jump School (1984). I liked the picture because it was a great shot of a CPT from the 82nd jumping from a C-130. Howver, when finding again last week, I noticed, for the first time, what appears to be a Model 14 attached o his web gear. I thought is was doubly cool to refind one of my favorite photos and discover a new connection to a more recent passion.

Perhaps the photo is of another forum member? Thanks for looking,

Chris

Randall Model #14CDT (Cut-Down Tang) with a stainless blade, brass hilt, brass and black metal spacers, buffalo horn handle, brass end cap, and black C model sheath - the buffalo horn handle is pretty freakin' cool in person... :)

Can anyone help with a model designation for this Randall? Ross Allen gave it to my husband when he worked for Ross at Silver Springs, about 1962 - 1964. He wore it when he presented shows at the 1964 World's Fair, and used it extensively when hunting deer and hogs here in Fl. The blade is 7 inches, overall length is 12 inches. Both the knife and sheath have the Randall logo, the sharpening stone is the orgininal.
Thanks for any help. http://imgur.com/a7G8bB3

According to Randall's website, Ross Allen carried a Model 5 Camp and Trail. From the shape of your husband's sheath, his knife appears to be a Model 3 or 4. A photo of the knife out of the sheath would be helpful or let us know the numbers stamped on the back of the sheath. Looks like a beautiful stag handle with finger grooves. Nice knife for sure!

Looks like a model 3-7 to me.

A photo of the knife out of the sheath was posted, maybe it just didn't come through. There were no numbers on either the sheath or on the knife itself, just "Randall Made, Orlando, Florida". I'm thinking you're right about it being a Model 3, but Ross must have had it customized with the finger grooves. He had them made for all the guys who did lecturing for him way back then, and they were all alike. Thanks for the info.
