Show us your Randalls

Finger grooves are, and were an ordering option on stag handled knives going back to the 40's. This one is late 50's paired with a mid 60's sheath.

Thanks Ron! Say, I have some irons in the fire and need your help; I'd like to talk with you someday soon. BTW, my B-Day is in August... ;)

Ron, yes you did! :-)

Got your message, thanks; I've been busy with our annual VFD benefit auction, putting in 40+ hours outdoors in poor weather doing physical labor since Thursday and was/am too tired to call...

I have a Model-1 made in the late 1930's. It was my fathers, he was in Panama just before WWII. He was in the 8th Air Force. Its in good shape with the original scabbard and stone on the scabbard. Made in Sprigfield MA. I can post pictures later. Is this something this forum would know about or be interested in?

Reeldog, welcome. Absolutely; post some photos and we can talk more about it...

I guess I need to get a pay membership to post photos. Will a basic membership allow me to post photos?

Yes. In the mean time, email them to me at swickersham at sbcglobal dot net and I'll post 'em for you...

New poster. I guess I can't post pics yet, but I have a Model #3 stag handled with/compass, and a Smithsonian Bowie with ivory handle. Apparently, Dad wasn't afraid to use them. Ivory handle is cracked (from throwing, according to my uncle), and both blades show signs of real use. No safe queens, these.
