Show us your Randalls

Some were more interesting than others - I've owned about a half dozen, and as the linked Gaddis article stated, the longer SS versions were the rarest. IMO, this was followed by a tie between the longer O1 blades and the shorter SS blades, followed by shorter O1 blades. I still have two, a nearly matched pair, both in SS w/NS hilts and black Micarta SFG handles. I say almost because the longer one also has a thin NS end plate. Both are 'as new'...so, to me they're pretty valuable. I've also had several in stag (nice, shoulda kept them), and others with maroon or black Micarta 'Commando' shaped handles like the one shown above. To me, however, they're a borderline 'non Randall' like the Springfield Randall's; still, cool as heck...

Thanks Melvin very nice 3-7, Ron very nice 3-6 as are all the Randalls, Found the 3-6 Ron that I was looking for it turned out to be stacked leather and a heavy user but still a very nice knife, still looking for a 3-6 yellow just like the one you have, Let me know if you ever want to let go Thanks John

I recently got a copy of Shel's book. It has completely screwed up my mind. I'm becoming addicted to the grinds and lines of the vintage 1s and 3s.
That picture didn't help much.

You have the best collection of old (1940's)RMK I have ever seen. But I said that before. My collection is not near as old as yours. I am trying to concentrate on Low S, Separate S and the VERY hard to find SS Model 5's. Therefore I am a 60's to early 70's collector where your collection is 20+ years older. This is why collecting RMK is such a great past time. So many variations, years, handle materials, themes, etc. Thanks for the great pics. BTW, start saving you pennies for Blade, we missed you this year.
