Show us your Randalls

Great collection! Do I see the new Ivorite micarta on the knives in the fifth picture?
You bet. The Model 5 on top and the Model 1 on the bottom are new knives recently purchased on ebay. The Nordic Sprotsman Bowie in the middle is older of course. I think the Ivorite makes a very pretty, very attractive handle material. (Just my opinion - nobody ever said I had great taste)

Many thanks. Here are my three latest "Ivory" (white) handled Randalls. Capt Stanaback had two of them handled in a new Ivorite-style material that is noticably whiter and brighter. Hope that shows up in the pictures (Shoot! i just hope I can figure out how to add the images... Here toes

Just bought a model 28 to add to my “hunting” knife collection. Had one years ago and sold it and always wanted to replace it so finally found one. Hope to have it by the weekend.

The 28 Woodsman is quite likely my favorite go-to belt knife. I bet you will like yours.

What model is this?

It is called a "Solingen Fighter". In the late 80's the shop took the last of the Solingen blade blanks that were used for the model #14's and 15's and reground them into this model. They were availble in both 5.5" and 7.5" blade lengths. I am not sure on the numbers, but they are fairly collectable.

tunefink,, I have seen these but they were still marked "Solingen" under the "Randall Made". The one the photo says "Orlando, FLA" so did Randall continue this model but with their own blades? John

I am not aware of any Orlando forged blades in this model, it's an etched tademark, so not applied when hot before heat treat.

Unless the photo is messed with, looks like Randall did make this model with that same style blade. An email to Randall might confirm or deny it being made. John
