My first 501. Black Micarta and S35vn . Given to me at my favorite sushi place by my awesome daughter ( she even bought the sushi!) for Father’s Day. Unfortunately the knife has some F&F issues so it’s on its way to buck to get straighten out. Pretty sure this knife will be seeing a great deal of pocket time.View attachment 1364655

My 501 stag is quite a bit thicker than the other ones that I have.

i just got this one. script stamp but birch wood covers. i bought it off the bay before reading here about dating these. i thought all script 501's had 440c. it seems this one has 425 or 420. its so clean and purty i hate to put it in my pocket. i might have to buy another one that aint so purty.

The 501's are the cat's meow. I have one script, my wife has a really old script that I bought new for her when we deer hunted. It's shown below.

501 even makes a passable fillet knife if it's all you have. caught these white bass. when i got to the truck, all i had was my old 501 with just a nub of a blade. not the best choice but it worked. even used it to descale all of them.
