Show your small fixed blades

The Okapi is nothing special , 907e stainless steel "serrated" knife ... dam thing is more like a ripsaw than a knife tho :)

the others are kind of special ones made by a friend .

Very nice knife!

Here is a really nice handmade knife from MI UP - the Northwoods Knife C. Gladstone Drop Point Hunter (D2/cocobolo), shown with a Bark River Fox River, also an excellent knife from that area:

I guess my favorite smaller knife is the Bark River Huntsman, shown earlier by a first page poster. Below you'll see it and a Nuwai/River Rock TM-311X LED 2xAAA flash light with a KSF pocket leather holster. The comb fits my cargo pants front pockets quite well - great day-hike companion.

I'm seeing a few what I would consider mid sized fixed blades in there too.

But it's all good. Knife pics are fun:thumbup:

One thing I want to comment on I notice Hills posted one too is that Busse Game Warden.

I just really love the shape of that knife and the handle is great for extended cutting wide enough.

My only complaint is the thickness. From what I have read they just keep making them fatter.

I would dearly love to see them come out with a 1/8" Game warden. That would make it a great slicer too:thumbup: It's just such a great little blade but handicapped IMO due to the thickness.

I guess a lot depends on the individual and their take on "small"
:)

for me , since my folder has a 4 inch blade , anything less in a fixed blade is small

but thats just me

My Spydie Mule is a neat little blade.

My most trusted and used small blade is my Carter necker. That sheepsfoot blade is razor sharp and so handy.

This is my Favorite Small (kinda) Fixed blade...Robert Hankins, hand made, CPM S30V with Paul Bos heat treat..one of 2 that he made years ago...somehow, I ended up with it in a trade. Sharp square spine, convex grind, comfortable grip and razor sharp. I have to say, when I traded for it, I wasn't to excited..but the more I use it, the more I love it. The blade is 5" by the way...I hope this doesn't put it in the medium range..what the hell.

I was wondering about the gamewarden form BUSSE..It looks great to handle
but I thought that it might be a little thick. I am also looking at the Leaner Meaner and the Active duty...both sharp looking knives, and we all know how tough they are. Does anyone have either of these and care to comment? Are they to thick for slicing?
mneedham, thanks for the comment, the knife just feels great in the hand, and its one tough mother!

Game wardens come in different thicknesess - from 0.14" to 0.27" I have one 0.17" thick and it's a pretty good slicer - it has full flat grind. Very cool little knife, I use mine in the kitchen - and it slices without problems. Active Duties and Meaner Streets also come in different thicknesses. I used to have a Active Duty but I prefer a GW handle.
