Rock you have some excellent gems there. I especially like the Doziers.

Yep, great pic!

I Spy a couple of Doziers, some Scandinavian manufacturers, plenty of Barkies, some Grohmans, etc..
Second column from the left, fifth knife down with a green linen micarta handle and a single finger groove, Ingram?
I know ya got at least one in that stubby Hippo... :)

Thanks for posting! :D

While you're answering questions Rock, Whats that below the Howling Rat with the scandi grind?

Thanks guys...it's surprising what can build up while you're away in Iraq for almost 15 months:D

ADD, if it's the one I think you pointed out, it's between a Syperdo Moran and Benchmade Nimravus Cub. That's a Trace Rinaldli TTKK (BG42).

Rupestris, the one below the Howling Rat is one of those overpriced (but well built) bushcraft blades by A Wright & Son Ltd Sheffield of England. It's O1 steel, VERY thick (something like 4mm), more than I anticipated. Good knife, but a little plain for the price.

Rock, now THAT is some MAJOR knife porn my Brother! First I was thinking "get the smelling salts close by"; then came the bulging eyes, then I thought this is the kind of art I like on my walls.....how can I print this into a poster!! I like a few from each group; heck, I started testing my knife knowledge by trying to guess each knife down the rows.... then I needed the smelling salts GRIN!

ALthough its not mine, here's one I made for the Christmas knife exchange. It belongs to forum member Docdredd now. IIRC the blade is a bit under 4 inches.

yeah thanks again grease man the cutting edge is 3.75 inches long and the length to the front of the scales measures just short of 4 inches. this things cuts like there is no tomorrow, and now resides as my edc knife. its not nearly as shiny now and sports a mustard pantina like all my working carbon steel blades do.

My wife rolls her eyes everytime I start dragging the knives out:D I still need to do a collective picture of the "mid-sized" knives (4.5-6"), the larger knives (6.5-7.5") and the choppers (everything over 8"):D

If you can guess them all and put them in the right order, you'll save me the trouble!!!

Hey docdredd, that is one beautiful knife...all function with the added benfit of beauty! I like it...what's the thickness on it?

ROCK-- man.. you have some great knives there.... not one out of that bunch i didn't like....:o you have excellant taste my friend....

Rock6,

Got a favorite out of that group?

That's always a hard question to answer. Fiddleback sent me one of his Nessmuks when I was in Iraq...it's an incredible slicer and will most likely replace my Dozier for a hunting knife.

I have special place for my Simonich Talon, reporduced by Camillus as the Cuda Talon in "Talonite"...I was going to place an original on order until Rob's untimely and tragic death; I love the little blade and even though it's a manufactured copy, it just reminds me of a great man and knife maker.

I know new knives always become favorites, but the Skookum Bush Tool is an incredible piece of cutlery and art. Add to that, Koster's Bushcrafter (in 3V) is just an incredible bushcrafting knife as well.

I have several Bark River knives and the Nebula, Kephart and Northstar remain as my top "go-to" blades for when I'm out and about.

I love (well, actually my wife loves it more) Mora's 2000 model, and Ontario's RAT 3 is a knife I recommend (in that size) to many newbies due to the comfort, steel and pretty darn good little synthetic sheath.

I know...too many "favorites" and I could probably list more based on what knife is associated with what memory, but you asked:D

Tough question? I would'nt be able to function with THAT many knives to play with around the house. My place would look like the Beverly Hillbillies lived there...but open up my Chest of steel and the light would blind ya'!!! If you want to email me a copy of those photos Rock I'd be glad to hang them on my wall......this way I could make little check marks as i built up the collection GRIN! Talk about a Man of Steel...that should be your avatar name here Rock!! Does your wife have a sister?! GRIN!

Rock6, amazing pics. Many gorgeous knives. Can you put them all in the sheaths, then a take a picture of you wearing all the knives at once? Just curious to see the best way to carry that many knives...:D

Hahahahahha
All you guys with your expensive Bark Creek knives
I challenge anyone to a cuttin' contest with my US Mess Kit knife!!!!! ;)

BTW....I'm actively searching EBAY for the MATCHING spoon and fork
It's marked "OK" on the other side
I do use it for camping also
Just so I can feel like I am on Okinawa..........

 The only time they all get carried together is when I have to PCS (military move) add the guns and camping equipment and it's a heavy trailer:D

1Tracker, you should be able to just "right" click on the photo and save to your desk top. If not I could shoot you an email,

Trent Rock, I guarentee those are definately cutting knives! Nice thin, razor blades, love your Mess kit knife!
