The hard choice is to buy B of A or INFI

B of A went up 50% last week... but it could drop 50% next

Preach it, brother.

You need serious cojones to dabble in THIS financial market. Well, at least WITH the financials. :)

I have another SJ or others in that size to use if there is a need. I think the handle is black linen.

Hard to buy when you know a Customganzaaaaa is on its way...

This is another thing that has hurt the secondary market. Offerings are coming so fast that you have to have some reserve funds in case the boss springs something awesome on us....and he always does. :D

Not to piss in your wheaties, but are you confident in the provenance? I have never seen one with this font. Every other SJLE that has passed through my hands was either sterile or looked like the one Tony posted.

Also, its not saber ground and the plunge line looks to be different as well.

2nd!.

This is why I questioned TG's SJLE he has in black micarta. I wasn't aware that there were three SJLE.

I had the two black papers. the 3/16ths and 1/4 both in black paper until I sent it to brother J. Seeing the #23 made me think of my friend in Chicago.

I bought all our friend Gator had to offer and this was one of em.

Along with a many other grails:D

Hey Gator! want to chime in brother:thumbup:

Ohhh yea...

Thanks for the backup buddy....

This SJ LE is amazing , and I like that style font the best.. Tooo nice..
mmmmm. .25" full height grind..
Enough talk and picture posting for me... I need to put this LE through it's paces later today..

Values are all subjective. Knives are only worth what demands makes of them(what you as the buyer are willing to pay). Just recently there was a silent knight on the epray with a buy it now price of somewhere around 1300. It sat...and sat...and sat until it got picked up by some hog here. The value of it is quite apparently 1300. Go ahead and put an SHBM LE at a buy it now price of 2300 and see how fast it disappears from epray. I doubt it would last 5 minutes. Put a CG SHBM up for 1400 and it sells in a day or less. Put an SHBA up for 650 and it's gone in a day. And lets not even talk about old mean streets, their prices are plainly insane.

The old series values do not change much because they were made in a time when production was no where near what it is today.

You cannot go wrong buying any new busse if you are willing to sit on it a bit. If you try to flip it after you bought it you are not likely to make money.

what it cmes down to is that if you look at it as a business and you get burned tuff cookies, but if you buy for yourself, then it really doesn't matter what the market does, and no regrets either way.
