Silent Knight Update

Shipping is sending out tons of SK packages everyday. They should all be at their new homes soon.

For those who are waiting on them, I'm filled with as much anticipation as you are just to see everyone else post up all the colors and opinions and thoughts. It's like I showed up to the keg party early and I'm already piss drunk...I did that once, I was running from the cops when we got busted before it was barely dark and it kind of sucked....but I got away :confused:o_O

I was one of the last orders before it was taken down. 15 mins before. Does that mean mine will be shipped out last ? Just curious.

I can only tell you, I had my order in before 9:01 on this one because there was no question for me- How it's relative? could be, I know a lot of others got their Park Ranger before I did but I didn't snag it for a couple days so I expected that.

Oh how I long for that Midnight blue and Bruiser Combat grade, maybe tommorrow is the lucky day.

With a TGLB... The flats are a bit rough, but, the blade overall is super "slicey".... I can see an LE (satin) version being super wicked... :)

Jolie Laide comes to mind....

Dig it!

So has anyone recieved an sr101 yet? Any timelines to charging for those?

The INFI versions started dinging on February 22. The first reported SR101 ding wasn't until March 13. It took three weeks before the CFs started shipping, so I expect it'll be another week or so for the BGs.

I know competition finish is not mean to be very refined but I would expect the overall fit and finish to be better for a $600 knife ...
I always consider SK as one of the best Busse design of all time but the pictures in this thread start to make me feel regret for purchased one of this blade... the knife is at shipping forwarder at this time and it would be in my hand in less than 2 week so we will see...

Fit looks good on me and CF looks like CF. $500 would have gotten you a coated blade.

Fit and finish is excellent, theres nothing unfit or unfinished about it, imho, ymmv. CF is not a safe queen finish, its essentialy for users. Now, I do agree that in a perfect world Busse would offer a polished satin option, but with the labor involved on a dynamic blade like the SK I can understand why they dont.

As far as value, thats an x factor until the market decides, but anything is worth what someone's willing to pay and there's a lot of us practically begging Jerry to fry up some more sizzling infi for the trough.

This will be my first busse knife, CF with red and black g10. Im not to worried about the scratches because I plan on polishing them out myself.
To the ones who have infi already, is it that hard to polish? In my opinion if i really want that "extra step" I don't mind polishing it up myself and if some scratches are deeper or if theres a dimple left here or there then hey it adds character:thumbsup:. They did warn about chatter marks etc so.. at least with Busse you can get mostly all your money back if not more if you don't like it:D. Its a WIN/WIN. But Im pretty sure this one will be a keeper for sure:thumbsup::cool:

well grats on a great first Busse! There's no pits or dimples here- Just as Jerry posted and what should be expected "light machine marks" Even the coated ones I've stripped, no pits. I think, the process has changed from the old days. Look at those older CF finishes, there's no surface grinder marks. Those look fresh out of the oven. Maybe that's how they look before machining? Maybe a step has been added since those day? idk~ but even then, I'm sure Jerry said "wil have dimples and pits" ? a raw finish? ... no way you should be disappointed, it's an amazing piece of Infi in one of Jerry's most iconic designs- we're lucky to have the opportunity imo - that and a quarter will get you a gumball :D

Received my CF w/Black & Green G10 on 3/21. It’s a little lighter than I thought it would be for a small of back carry. Probably have to get a Huckfin instead. Beauty though she is, I might have to trade her. Might...
