  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Skinna Skinna, Chicken Dinna

There's a nice handle inside that chunky mess somewhere, I'll find it.

I found a handle in that chunky block, it's almost there, a little more shaping, flow out a few edges and clean her up. Heres a pic juuuust fuzzy enough to aggravate you Scott:p

I try to shape a handle so when you pick it up, it finds your hand, instead your hand trying to find it. I pick it up and set it down with my eyes closed about a million times, helps my fingers tell me whats wrong instead of just my eyes.

I'm liking it John, I think this is going to be a real winner my friend.

Don't worry I'm already beyond aggravation at this point so no problem. :p

Hey Scott, I'm including a free gift with your knife!

I already have a few boxes.....

I couldn't resist:D
I'll keep this box for myself then!

This handle is really shaping up well. I think you're gonna be happy with it.

Oh, baby. That is turning out KNICE!!!

Thanks Mack. I'm looking forward to how it comes out. I know on the first leather stack I did, I wasn't convinced it was going to turn out nice until it was about 99% done, and then it just popped. This one is showing promise so far, we shall see.

Still a lot of shaping to do, cleaned it up a bit to see where I'm at.

Looking good Johnny, this thing is gonna be sweet! What was your choice of sealer for the handle?

I'm gonna experiment with melting some more beeswax into some sno seal.

At some point I'd like to make about a two foot leather stack separated every few inches with a piece of plastic and try different finishes and let them sit outside for a year or two. See what actually holds up to harsh conditions the best. That will be interesting.

Thanks Scott, I'm hurting on shop time this week but she's getting there.
