Smoke Jumper

I have more knives to choose from than anybody would ever need, yet I’m still carrying this one since the day I got it! I would love to see a Navy Blue one next, OD would be awesome too. Think you might be doing a color poll for the next run?

I would like to see a 110LT and 112LT in OD, Tan and Navy Blue with the CPM154

Oh and the 112 in the "Smoke Jumper" red too..
Poll sounds good.
ps Iv'e carried the Smoke Jumper every day.
You get a lot of knife for little weight.
These LT's are a good move by Buck

Carried mine all day in the office and forgot it was in my pocket! So sharp the hair just piles up in front of the blade and you don’t even feel them pulling as they are cut. Mine does have slight blade play, but not bad. Wish it had a more solid feel like g10, but it’s a great user for sure. Still thinking about dyeing it, maybe this weekend. I will be buying another one or two!
Wondering if you did the dye job yet ? Curious to see how that worked out .

I bought the RIT dye at the supermarket, but haven’t done the deed. Thought I should research it more before I did it, some say add vinegar some say salt....open to suggestions

I'am not sure eather ? I've never done it but have seen others that have dyed plastic scales. The color change seems to work . I'am just not sure about the lasting effects. If you decide to do it keep us updated :D

I just wish Buck could be a little more consistent with the lockup on their lock-backs. Sometimes tight as a bank vault, but more often than not you either get up and down, side to side play, or both.

An adjustable pivot would help a lot, but a little more attention to detail on the tolerances would certainly be beneficial. Not trying to be negative, I like Bucks a lot and understand they are built to a price point, but I would gladly pay $10-$15 more for one of these, or 110, or 112 with improved tolerances or at least adjustable pivots.

Lastly, I will admit this is mostly nit picking, as the blade play does not really effect the utility or safety of the knives. It just bugs me is all. If I had never bought knives from other companies with tighter tolerances and bank vault lock up I would likely never even have noticed, but since I have, I have a hard time ignoring it.

Sorry for the mini rant, but I so wished the LT to be a little better as about every other review mentions the play and I wanted one of these bad.
