Smoke needed

I talked with TKC for 20 minutes. I poured out my hal fifth of Gentleman's Jack. I called the wife and ordered her to attend a 1900 AA meeting with me. It really f'n hurt to pour out my booze. Life or death.

I'm glad to hear this matt. and i think that what steven said is probably the best adivce. rituals. Im here for ya buddy. and glad TKC helped you out. i pray for you every day matt, and I know that you can get sober. i won't tell you to quit smoking pot, but the booze has to stop. i really was saddened when i heard that you started drinking again, but its great to know that your going to AA meetings again.

Probably not too good.... he was an older gentleman and probably had a few grandchildren that had to attend his closed-casket funeral. Having to explain to everyone that grandpa is gone thanks to some drunken loser driving around at 3:30 PM on a Sunday isn't a very pleasant thing to have to do.

I'm hoping the family of the victim is dealing well with the burden that has been handed to them....
 
Really, no matter how bad Matt's brother will have it this poor gentlemen paid the ultimate price for the inexcusable actions of a drunk driver through absolutely no fault of his own.

I don't know how they are doing... and right now, I don't want to. My brother's face is unrecognizable. Everything from his orbits, sinus to jaw... is shattered. I won't even go to see him. His face will prolly look like something I saw 7 years ago.

thats horrible. what about your brother's friend? how's he?

and your brother really did scare me shitless. I have never, ever in my life had the thought that i'd ever drive high or drunk. im not an alocohol person anyway, but you get the picture. i don't even want to be in a car with someone that's only slightly buzzed. but I know that if later in life I ever have that thought, to drive high or drunk, or anyone around me has that thought, I'll always remember this and put a stop to it.
 
Cm. are you sad for your brother or for yourself, that you wont go see him? I am sorry that a brother here is having some rough times. Things can change but they can only be truly changed by the one that needs to change. I have prayed for you, your brother, the older gentleman as well as his family and friends. Some of us have probably made bad decisions with catastrophic results, however, alot more have made bad decisions and were able to walk away never knowing how close they came. Now is the time to do what needs done. Dig deep brother. If there was something the deceased said he would do tomorrow....well.

He's still sucking oxygen, which is more than can be said about the innocent life he selfishly took away from a loving family. I bet the grandchildren of the victim would give anything right now to have their grandpa back, however bad the disfigurement from the accident was.

I'll make sure to post up his Michael's mugshot from FCJ as soon as they wheel him into the booking area.

I don't understand the concept of this smoke thing. Not being a smart aleck neither.( maybe a poor time to ask for an explanation) I do not judge, that's up to God. I will pray for CM and all his family and all else involved. I just lurk here mostly, have come to feel that most who post here are good folks. We're all God's. My .02

This isnt the place for your jealously of CM to once again surface, so shut up. We all know his brother did one of the most despicable and selfish things one can do, CM knows that, we know that, and his brother now knows that. So right now he dosnt need some jealous loser like yourself mouthing off singing the same old song you have since you came here.

CM, words cant describe times like this. Dont waste this terrible time in your family's life. USE IT as a wakeup call for yourself. Dont let the death of the old man and possibly the life of your brother go by, take this terrible time and use it to sober up. What you did in Iraq in the name of our country's defense, however terrible it might have been, is in the past. With Gods help, stop dwelling on it, and start thinking about where your life if headed. Hopefully not to the same end as your brothers.
 
I went to a treatment facility. They told me that God will forgive. He forgave my sorry a$$, 20 years ago.
