Smoke needed

As bad as Matt's brother did, as bad as Matt is taking it.....doesn't change the fact that you are a complete and total piece of shit.....and there is no place for you here.

Well said... to the point, but well-said.

I just got back... my luck... hour and a half men's meeting. My stomach is turning so I'm gonna eat something instead of pouring a double.

He's still sucking oxygen, which is more than can be said about the innocent life he selfishly took away from a loving family. I bet the grandchildren of the victim would give anything right now to have their grandpa back, however bad the disfigurement from the accident was.

I'll make sure to post up his Michael's mugshot from FCJ as soon as they wheel him into the booking area.

you are a sorry excuse for a human being.

no one has expressed anything but sympathy for the deceased and his family. if they were members here, we would all sympathize as best we could.

matt has come here, to a community he has bonded with. many like him, many don't. many of us consider him a friend, and friend's don't abandon each other in dark times.

your insults and tone are totally without warrant. matt did nothing wrong, he is simply trying to reconcile in his own mind his brother's situation. the fact you choose to muck around in his misery and intentionally attempt to make things worse for a man that has no responsibility regarding the incident is below anything you have posted previously.

Good for going. Good also for dumping the fifth.

CM, I don't know you but I always enjoy your posts and pics, and admire your service to our country. Thanks for sharing your experiences here. The road ahead will be very difficult but I hope that your post above is a turning point.

About a year ago, the professional opportunity of a lifetime was rescinded due to some minor partying in my past. It pales next to the tragedy here, but sometimes we just need a wakeup call.

Good luck. I will pray for your mom, your brother, the older man and his family, and for courage to you during the long road ahead.

Matt,
We are here for you, thoughts, sympathy, empathy, and prayers. Take things one minute at a time right now. Be strong for your wife and your mom.

Probably not too good.... he was an older gentleman and probably had a few grandchildren that had to attend his closed-casket funeral. Having to explain to everyone that grandpa is gone thanks to some drunken loser driving around at 3:30 PM on a Sunday isn't a very pleasant thing to have to do.

I'm hoping the family of the victim is dealing well with the burden that has been handed to them....

Kohaii said it right. You truly are a piece of shit. Yes, CM's brother did something horrible, but now is not the time for your judgemental crap.

And CM...get some help. Stop with the dramatic shows of "quitting" to impress us. Pouring out a bottle of Jack doesn't make a damn bit of difference if you go out and buy another one. Stick with AA, stick with studying Scripture if that helps, and for Christ's sake stop with the ganja. You need to clean up and cut the crap, dude. There are people here who are here for ya and pulling for you.

I am sorry to hear about your brother. The situation sucks all around. Prayers and smoke are up.

Use this terrible life changing situation for something better. When you look back on it you wont remember it as the night my brother was nearly killed drunk driving...end of story. Remember it as a costly but much needed wake up call...The night I started to sober up for good.

My mom is not doing well as you can imagine. She's going to get some counciling through Kaiser. I have been helping her obtain legal resources. I'm still in shock about all this. Sometimes I start crying uncontrollably out of nowhere. I should be getting a call back from my pastor who has 20 some years in the program. Booze and pot are out. Just gonna have to deal with my crap. I won't mention AA again. I'm of no use to anybody all messed up.

Is that really all you have to do with your life ? You truly are a worthless P.O.S.

You need to tie your life rituals to everything else.....if you sit on the couch all day, you will think too much, and paint yourself into a corner.

Keep moving....but understand that you are NOT able to deal with this all by yourself at this point, you must seek out guidance and counseling in order to benefit.

If you doubt me, look in the mirror and see what looks back. Do you see strength, composure, and inner peace....no, you have not seen that for a long time.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

What Steven says about structure is very true. Best of luck to you on your journey Matt.

Keep moving....

This advice should resonate with your military experience. Keep moving. On the battlefield of a war, standing still is just about always the wrong thing to do. And on the batttlefield of life, standing still -- or sitting still on the couch watching TV all day -- is just about always the wong thing to do too.

I still have CM on ignore, and probably will until he demonstrates some real sobriety. That being said, I am calling for the banning of Symphony in C, etc.
Never have I seen such a miserable excuse for a human. He should not be allowed in this company....He is a troll of the lowest kind.

Now-a-days they call it "the Baghdad Shuffle".:D

Keep shufflin' CM!

After his last posts:mad::eek:... I wouldn't shed a tear or argue against you.

Im sorry for the person he killed. He had no business being behind the wheel drunk and possibly stoned. 1st degree manslaughter he is looking at 15 years minimum. My sympathies to your mom and yourself and your family. Your brother however has do deal with his actions and I cannot squeak out an ounce of pity for him.

I agree. I hope you and your mom can get through this.
