go back with an adult esp a parent/guardian for a little 1 on 1 with a manager :)

I guess I should re-phrase that. I am allowed in the store just not where all the rifles, scopes, targets, ect are. Which it stupid if you ask me but hey, in america we support the idiots.

Old School vs. New School: turns out they make a great team. :D
(sorry for the blurry picture)

is there a sign saying that? corporate policy? i'd still go back with a parent and make a stink.

i've never seen a Dick's with a roped off "adult" section. imho, no policy, they singled you out. profiled you ;) i'd complain. free ammo for life :D

Our Dick's store is the most anti-outdoorsman sports store I've ever seen. They rarely have staff at the gun / knife / optic counter, and when they do, they really don't act like they want you to buy anything. I say, write the manager a letter and let them know that you're displeased and that you and your friends will not be shopping there.

Good luck Nsvens!! I'm planning on being out all day tomorrow to try and get my buck. Saw a nice buck this morning right at the edge of a small town I was dropping mail off in. Was wishing that the post office would allow us to have a rifle in the truck cuz it woulda been an easy shot.

I think that's pretty standard for the entire chain -- and the "no unaccompanied under 18" thing is a loss prevention strategy -- I've seen it in other stores. It rarely works as intended and definitely cuts into sales.

So, been going through a pretty nasty divorce. Yesterday, I had my custody battle, to decide the primary custodial parent of our 2 boys. You guys may have seen pics floating around here of em.
The oldest, Connor, its 6.

After many weeks of stress, lost sleep, prayer, and hard courtroom battles, im incredibly happy to say, I'm now a very proud single father of two amazing little boys!!!!!!! Its been a long, expensive, and nerve wrecking road, but it finally paid off!
Just wanted to get that off my chest, and to let any of you guys thats been going through the same thing know, that a man does have a chance in getting the custody of their children. Historically, its been almost impossible, but it can happen today.
Thanks guys,
Brandon

Bsmith, thats just outstanding! Way to fight for your kids! Im very happy for you and just LOVED reading your post. Fathers of the world applaud you.

Alot of times a man uses the excuse that the court will give the kids to the mom just to walk away. while this is normally the case its not written in stone. My father TOOK custody of me and my brother back in the 80s. Regardless what they say most men want custody to go to the mother because they feel the mother will do a better job raising the child or they are looking for the back door out. this is bull$hit. A father cant breast feed but we can damn sure raise our own children. I know, since i was injured overseas i am a stay at home father who spends almost all my time with my children. cooking for, cleaning after, and teaching these little devils is the most important job i could have.

Congrats agin, remember the reasons you fought for your kids and keep them first. i dont know the situation with the mother but ill say that i have never seen a situation where telling the kids negative stories about the other parent was a good idea, in other words dont bad mouth there mother to her kids behind her back regardless of the reasoning. explain to them when the time is right if needed why you had to take them but dont blame mom in a negative way. even if the fault is there. You need your kids to know you took them out of love not anger or hate.

Either way enjoy your life with your precious angels, and thanks for standing up for fathers around the world.

Thank you all so much! Its been tough, I aint gonna lie, but I never gave up. Like you said WW, a lot of fathers use it as an excuse to dodge responsibility. I was told dozens of times that I was wasting my time, that no judge would ever apoint me the custody of my boys. I dont listen very good. I knew what I wanted, and what was best for them, and I love them so much that I would have waded through hell and back, to make sure that it happened.
I give you my word, WW, that ill never intentionally say anything bad about their mom to them. Thats wrong in every single way. I want my boys to always know that their dad, and their mom, love them very much. I had the option to set visitation for her, and I gave her every weekend, and we split holidays appropriately. I want her to be a huge factor in their lives, but I wanted to make sure that they were where they had the most stability and opportunity.
Thanks again guys, it means the world to me.

BK-11 San Mai up for sale on the exchange for $80. Wish I didn't just buy a BK11.

Stop giving chain stores your business and go to the smaller gun stores that specialize in guns.
