I'm gonna have a little apprentice soon! Karen and I went halfers on a baby!
So, I'm sitting here at work, I'm the only one here except for my boss who is working with a gaggle of new interpreters going through the program trying to get a job doing what I do. I don't mind it as we have a shortage of interpreters right now so any help would be good!
The problem with that, I have to leave my shoes on, and I have to be careful when walking around I can't have my phone out![]()
How you all doing? This is actually my first day back since last week Thursday. On Sunday last week I ended up in the ER with 104* fever and my tonsils were pushing my uvula back against the back of my throat they were so swollen. Which is why I missed the gathering, I didn't figure anyone else wanted the strep.

Streptococcus sucks! I wish my wife and I could have made the gathering too. We don't anybody there, except for a handful of members(DJ, Todd and Murph), but would have loved to meet new folks! The food looked awesome and I'm sure there were interesting fireside chats!
Definitely feeling better, fever is gone, sweats are gone, seizures are gone, tonsils have returned to a mostly normal size (for me at least!) and my uvula is free hanging again!Hope you are feeling better C-Bear. And yes, not that intersted in getting strep.

Did as the directions of the rolls called for, 350° for 25 minutes, and this is the result:

I am shocked.....that anyone makes an oven mitt you can get yours into...
Seriously, though - pretty neat setup. Pretty sure I saw one of those ovens on closeout at WallyWorld the other day - might have to go see if it's still there now....
So, I am trying to find somewhere within say 3 hours of St. Louis to hike and camp. I need to get out of the city for a while and I don't feel like car camping. I'd like to actually do some hiking. Does anyone have any ideas? I was looking at some of the state parks but they all seem to require staying on a pad, and I don't want to be stuck in a tent between two RV's pulling boats, if that makes sense.
so, Gus - what is an appropriate bore diameter and depth for a proper pipe?
Look up the nearest National Forest or state land near you. You can go pretty primitive on National Forest land!
Congratulations, Julio!
Cinnamon rolls look great, Dubz.
Disappointed I didn't get to see some folks at the Gathering, but on Sunday, I did at least get on rope.

These questions need answering!!
I had a dream last night that I was in my highschool woodshop class making some pretty exquisite pipes. When I woke up I was sad because there were none in my garage
Glad to see you back Cbear!
