My gears are turning and smoke is waffing from my ears right now. Picture the Great Oz scene

The one with Uncle E would be quite appropriate Great Job on those patches Dubz
Thanks man. The general consensus on the Ethan patch, iirc, was that peeps didn't want a patch that had another man on it, haha. :D

I have been texting between my coworkers our shop usually runs 3 plumbers and 7 HVAC techs 1 plumber quit instead of taking the jab and he other transferred to another shop . COVID has 4 HVAC techs and myself out another tech's wife fell an has serious back injury so work is hurting
Seems like it is running super hot everywhere - even if a lot have a mild case, it's still A LOT

report from neighbor with young kid: 4 kids in his daughter's class do NOT have covid.
and I live in country-lite which got off easy last few go-'rounds, so people didn't take it seriously.

My old Beckerhead hat is pretty gross-looking at this point. It was a super high-quality cap. Maybe we should do another run of those?

Nothing like going out to harvest a new car battery after a -32 below F-word degrees earlier this week! The invigorating hauling out the power cords and getting out the plug in charger and finding the car didn't even start with the jump setting! The great time to revel in the cold and snow as awaiting to see if the trickle charge worked to get the battery charged! It worked for maybe a second as one heard the engine try to start...and the thoughts of "oh turd!" danced in your head finding your battery seemingly dead. Once again the trickle charge for a longer time, got the car to go to the on side of the line! But a check of turning the car off and turning the key to get it back on, proved to be NON. So back on the charger it went, with a short time after a short vent, the car engine on it went! So not dare not turning it off, to the service station ones Go! And after spending $160.01, with tax, to change the battery state with an INTERSTATE, and behold! The car now does start and turn on to make you go!

Oh the joys of winter are great to be hold! The cold and freezing and the warmth made by the burning of your wallet to keep one warm and cheery as the car's heater does the warming part so.

trickle charging USUALLY means for me: several hours in warm weather, and at least overnite on a cold (let alone -32 dF) battery :D

good it got you going...

those lithium jump-starters are a good backup / safety net?

It started raining here around 6, then started snowing around 7:30.
We're supposed to get 2-4"
Tomorrow is supposed to be 30, Monday 42.
, Then back into the teens Wednesday/Thursday.

This winter is the first season (in 17 years) I didn't have to work at least every other Saturday. Since china virus season began until now, it was every single Saturday (nobody else wanted to). So this winter has been my "get-out-of-work-on-Saturday-free" card. Not sure what to do with myself, side work just holds no thrill at the moment.

My plan is to go window shopping tomorrow (not looking for a window though).

They were calling for 2-5 here, but later changed it to 1-3". Been slightly raining still, as the temp is currently 35°.
