Any of y'all (yes it was 75· here today. 45 tomorrow) shoot .357 Sig? My semi-local pawn shop has a Sig P226 that feels really good in hand, but I know little about that gun and less about that caliber.

FWIW, I'm mostly a 9mm guy.

I'm not a huge fan of the caliber. All the misery of all its parents, more expense. And LOUD. And very little margin for error, given case volume and pressures.

But I'm also a fan of subsonic calibers/loadings in handguns.
(Not that the occasional full-bore .357 or my buddy's .357-44 Bain&Davis isn't a hoot)

I don't, but all you have to do is swap the barrel and it's a .40.
Sig also sells a 9mm conversion kit - new slide, barrel, springs, and a pair of mags.

also as an FYI, the 229 is essentially a "compact" version of the 226, and IIRC,the 224 was a hybrid of the 2.

as to the weather, we ended up with 3-4" and a lot of drifting.
It was ever so amusing watching the puppy do zoomies around the back yard in it when we went out for a potty break around 10:30.
(no, I did not have my phone, so there's no video evidence)

My old Beckerhead hat is pretty gross-looking at this point. It was a super high-quality cap. Maybe we should do another run of those?
Same. My Beckerhead hat is gross nowadays.
If anybody wanted to do another run of hats, I’d definitely be down for a few!

Man…
Been dealing with some pretty serious flooding in the last 2 days in my city and county. Snow melt and then very heavy rainfall. Had to leave work early today because I-5 closed down for 20 miles. Inconveniently right between work and home. Many roads closed. There was one possible route home so I took it and thank God I was able to make it home. Might not have been able to make it later. One of the rivers that has been causing flooding hasn’t even crested yet. It should within the next few hours. That would affect a lot of homes. I’m only 3 blocks from the river. We’ve had 3 major floods the last 25 yrs and my house hasn’t seen water. Let’s hope that stays the case!
All was good last week. The river was probably within 1’ from cresting. So close. A lot of houses got water, but my neighborhood is good.
Got the damn Covid last Saturday and it’s kicked my ass all week. Finally feeling better and will go back to work Monday.
Sorry to tanglediver for the delay in shipping. Glad that giveaway is done! Haha

I have a conversion barrel for my G22. I just used G22 mags and it was all good. Lots of muzzle flash and fast. More accurate than the same gun shooting .40s Ammo was hard to come by until it became really hard to come by. DunkEm DunkEm

Back in the saddle after 25 years.

70 degrees here today.

Youngest son made pork ribs for the first time in the offset smoker he welded on a new grate lip last Friday - because he's decided welding is fun and he wanted ribs.

Great to see the sparkle in his eye as he learns new skills.

One of the better days I've had recently.

And the ribs were good!
