best of luck to you guys (and BA) up in the NE coastal fun zone.
we've got one that's supposed to roll through Tuesday afternoon-Wednesday night, but I'm not very hopeful.
It's been a really dry year and if we don't get some decent snow, the phrase "burning Kansas" may be back in vogue in a month.
Friday morning they're calling for -4f at sunrise.

Haven't used it for some time, tbh. I have the axe model. I believe the only difference between the axe and hatchet model, is that the axe handle is a bit longer, although the head is the same size. It''s an unusual axe, in that it is very thick for it's size. Chops well though. I chopped down a big tree with it, but it took me two hours to do. I also like that it's bearded, which makes it useful for feather sticking, etc. I'll post some photos later. On my phone now.
A few photos:

Tree I chopped:

Shoveled about a foot so far. There was a 2-foot drift in the lee of my truck.
The plow has been making single-width passes, so the plow berm behind the truck isn't too TALL, but it's about 6 feet wide. The kid at the end of the street has a plow, I think. Hopefully I can get a cleanup pass when this is done. He's probably out plowing for the town now.

Yeah I cleared out a 3 ft deep 6 ft width x 3 cars wide along the road. My drive is still under construction so we are parking along side the house.
I like using the snow thrower while the winds are high. Aids in getting rid of the drifts. Fortunately the snow was super lite. The push nut fell off of my Toro 30 inch and the wheel came off. I hadn’t planned on that one lol. I ended up making a flat on the axle, center punching and drilling it for a cotter. Back in business. I’m going to thread the ends and use nyloks. That problem won’t curse me again.

I have three car-ends worth of plow berms. 😭
No driveway to speak of, tho. The spots are right on the dead-end road.
There's gonna be nowhere to put the snow. I discovered a few years ago in a fit of desperation that if I shovel it exactly into the middle of the road, the next plow will take it up to the END of the street. Might piss off the neighbors in the meantime, tho.

Lol 50mph winds moved mine down the road once I got it airborne

Yeah, I don't have a snowblower. No driveway, so it hardly seems worth it for the space and maintenance. But I'd sure like my neighbor to have one tomorrow!

No snow blower? Use the original, the snow thrower! Kid powered ones are more favored it seems.

Well today I spent a few hours at the club, just good to be outside . I run about 150 rounds through my new Ruger Wrangler. I need to paint the front sight to make it easier to see. At about 30 yards I was hitting pieces of clay birds or close enough to make them move anytime I did my part .

24"! :-o
Think we topped out at 16" at my house, but hard to tell because of all the wind and drifting.
The kid on the street with the plow helped clean my two empty parking spaces. He's GOOD with that thing!

I got 2 inches, all evil light fluffy stuff that flys off the car when driven. And it got so warm, the salted snow build up in the wheel wells finally could melt and fall off. I had to shovel that out of the way of the wheels. Talk about a brutal winter!
