Geeze, I missed four whole pages of snark!

So we had a potluck at work tonight and I was in charge of the stuffing. I'm no cook so I just got some stovetop. (Didja know you can make it with a coffee maker?) Was expecting about 20 and I know serving sizes are BS so I made enough for 30 acording to the boxes. The folks didn't get into it like I thought they would and now I have a mountain of stuffing left. I like the stuff but I don't know if it'll fit in my fridge...

Does anyone else get excited for their W2 so they can do their taxes? I usually get about a grand or a little more back and doing standard deductions is pretty easy so I get it done and turned in as soon as I can.

it's page 2 for me, but if it's 4 for you, well, hah hah!

Mornin Heads. Wew. glad that Christmas stuff is out of the way. The pup was a huge hit to say the least at my house. Ive been meaning to post some pics, but cant get the kids and the dog to stay still long enough. Lol. So far my wifes Maine Coon cat hasn't killed the pup yet. hehe. but its been a interesting introduction for both parties. I think after the learning curve is over, and everbody has time to adjust. she (the dog) is going to be a fantastic addition to our family.

My parents just lost a golden retriever a few months ago and after seeing your picture I was temped to show up with a puppy on christmas. I told my dad about my plan and he said wait until after they get back from their 2 month hawaii trip so sometime in april I'll be picking up a new pup for my mom. Very excited. Your kids are very lucky.

I bet that was a lot of fun!

Re: the cat.... He has plenty of time to plan out and make his move. He'll also have the size advantage for a little while too. :D

My wife and I did a lot of research as far as what dog best suited our needs. The Golden and the Labs where on the top of our list. We really got lucky with the breeder we found, she was fantastic, and even borded the dog until we picked her up so we could surprise the kids.
So, far, Im really impressed with how smart she is. Shes just now 11 weeks old and she is almost potty trained. shes got the concept figured out, just that puppies are puppies and shes gonna have some accidents. Walking on a leash however, is not her stongest suit lol. but she will get it. Im more than confident that she will bring a lot of joy to this family. Im sure I will be posting several pics very soon.
Sorry to hear about your folks pooch. My mother in law just lost her chocolate lab that was 14. its hard.

Haha, if I had a nickel for evertime that cat wished me dead. Id have a constant waterfall of nickels in my living room. :D

Took the pup to my folks house last night for our family Christmas. Here's a pic of my kids (left and right) my niece in the middle holding the dog. They all ran and played all evening. Came home and all of them pup included slept all through the night.

I got some videos, but how the hell do you post them from a phone? They won't load onto photobucket.

We have a lab and she picks things up very quickly too. Both are great family dogs.

You probably already know this (so more just an encouragement), but as as far a walking her on a leash, etc... definitely put the time in now to train her and it will pay dividends forever. I've seen a number of people NOT take the time to do it when their young, and it's just too hard once they get older and are used to getting away with things.
