I got me a 10le in the mail today. Super excited to have one again! Pictures will follow...

Another lesson in life learned yesterday. I went on a field trip with my daughter to a Indianapolis playhouse where we watched a Christmas Carol. Pretty enjoyable, we stopped and ate on the way home, to this point all of the girls where well behaved so I saw no problem with they politely asked if we could stop by Starbucks for chocolaty cold mocha drinks........ That's where I went wrong, evidently, there is something in those drinks that makes a Tahoe filled with 12 year old girls go totally insane and there volume go up up a 1000 decimals........... Still have the headache this morning.

If my daughter is anything like her mother (which at the age of 3 she already is), I'm going to have to lock her in her room and home school her from the age of 13 - 25. Then she's on her own :D (kidding) Like its been said previously, hopefully I can educate her to the point where I don't need to do that. If all else fails, I know where to hide bodies and I'll raise my own grandchild.

My only advise to the young gentlemen is be smart about it.

Lol Todd, you need to invest in a set of hearing protection with volume control. That way you can drive with them on and just turn down the volume :D Thank's for inspiring this great idea. I'll have to get an extra set for when my kids are older!

Sexy Todd!

Question for all you leather workers out there. I have this JRE 'semi-custom' leather sheath that came with my #5102 big boss. The retention on it is pretty much gone. I carry it crossdraw on my belt, and as I was running around the park with my kids today it fell out of the sheath :( My question is: Is there anything I can do to shrink it? or re-size it to fit the knife better? or am I s.o.l and just look for a new way to carry it (like a new sheath)

If anybody knows Guyon number or email could you please have him get ahold of me please. Thank you in advance

TBL...
Don't take my word for it but I heard you can soak it in hot water then let it completely dry and it'll shrink. Then retreat it with sno-seal or what have you...

Todd that is a gorgeous blade bud!

Took a pic of the wife's 1022. Besides the cheap scope she is a BEAUT!! Trying out the AATS1022 stock next week. Wanted to go with a wood/laminated thumb hole stock after the ADTAC RM4 but she is getting the Archangel for next to nothing and the laminated stocks she liked were close to $200. The KIDD trigger doesnt fit in the ADTAC RM4 without some modification... She dont plan on keeping that stock so im not going to mod it to fit the new trigger.... So its without a stock right now.

SO far it has a kidd 18" stainless flutted .920 barrel threaded with muzzle break, kidd 1.5 pound (adjustable) single stage trigger with extended mag release, kidd charging handle, kidd extractor, firing pin, and bolt buffer, and a cheap 3-9X32 simmons scope. After the stock it will be complete with a Nikon P-RIMFIRE BDC 150 scope.

Dang. With everything she did, the wife should have started with an after market receiver and put it together from scratch.

Thanks brother!!

Didnt you go with a takedown? The one we have here is for a standard 1022.

If your wanting one for a standard we may could work out a little trade... Just let me know... Its not in any danger of running off LOL

Didnt plan to go this far from the start.... Figured we would just change out stocks on the collector series 1022 and call it a day.... Then SHE fell down the rabbit hole.

She is thinking about getting a KIDD receiver later, down the road, and putting the Ruger back together again and having 2 1022s.

I actually ended up picking up an enfield instead of the takedown, but I do have a no al 10/22 already, however I'm not sure what stock I want so I'll let you know.

I like the KIDD parts but they're a little out of my price range, I've been looking at the drop in trigger that that ruger makes

That would be cool. Especially if you parted out a 50th anniversary collectors edition. I was drooling over one of those at the gun shot a while back, mostly for the combo of a rail and peep sights. But XS makes a scout rail for the 10/22 now which is the main feature I liked on the collector's edition. The regular 10/22 sights set a little too low for me and I don't care for the sight picture. I put some Tech-sights on it and it was a huge improvement for me but I have a cheap red dot that would be fun to put on a .22 plinker and I can't put it on mine with the tech sights.
