And his parts are definitely pricey! Won't argue that one bit... But the quality and performance is seriously amazing!

But XS makes a scout rail for the 10/22 now which is the main feature I liked on the collector's edition. The regular 10/22 sights set a little too low for me and I don't care for the sight picture. I put some Tech-sights on it and it was a huge improvement for me but I have a cheap red dot that would be fun to put on a .22 plinker and I can't put it on mine with the tech sights.

That's the one, and the reason it was picked... Well the rail anyway.

Only thing is, if we put the ruger back together... I think this one should keep the bolt... All said and done I think the shiny bolt saying collector series looks good on this one. Could put another bolt in the ruger though.

I carry it crossdraw on my belt, and as I was running around the park with my kids today it fell out of the sheath :( My question is: Is there anything I can do to shrink it? or re-size it to fit the knife better? or am I s.o.l and just look for a new way to carry it (like a new sheath)

You might be able to shrink it a little with hot water but you could shrink it too much if you're not careful. People use to shrink leather with boiling water to make armor. Dark ages though.

Or........

You could have me make you a hybrid sheath and not worry about it again. ;)
 
See why East is better? We have guys who make moonshine and brew beer and mead and bring that. None of this kracken stuff that you buy!
 
Oh we have some white lightning too. Aged in an oak barrel, and some flavored with apples and pie all in the same jar...!😮
 
Regardless I've been to both and both are equally awesome in their own different ways. :thumbup:
 
I'm hoping you didn't put actual pie in the jar lmao!

Apple slice, cinnamon stick, nutmeg.... Voila, Apple pie shine. Many ways... This is easy..

Charred oak is much better. Imo.... Takes longer.

I need to make it to a gathering.

I didn't all how they made it. There weren't any chunks in it..... All I know is it was all good. 👍

Don't take my word for it but I heard you can soak it in hot water then let it completely dry and it'll shrink. Then retreat it with sno-seal or what have you...

Thanks for the replies guys! (and the offer Nix!) I think instead of shrinking it to potential failure I'll save up a little money and order kydex. I'm also going to modify the leather sheath slightly and turn it into a pocket sheath :D

Got a great trade yesterday! Traded that tdi clip to a buddy I gave a bk11 to, for a huge pile of fat lighter! He delivered it on his trailer and all!

Actually he gave me the wood free and I gave him the clip... But close enough to a trade lol.

He doesn't care to sit by fires, and I always have fire :D but he has loads of fat lighter on his property... I'm doing the friendly thing and helping make it disappear!

Oh hell, that was a total pre-coffee brain fart on my part. I meant Bracken and not Kracken.
