Which Becker would you give the robot? or would it have arms for each one? hrm...Robot with a BK6? that would be something to see :D

Prob a necker or remora...maybe a tweener. Depends on the situation... I just don't trust robots man, no way...

So, took a little time off since Blade. Don't get much of a chance to catch my breath. Did a couple things on the honey do list, bummed around the house, drank a few thousand beers.... ;)
Got a hold of Murph the other day, first time since we returned from Alanta. (I let him have a breather too, took a lot of his time leading up to the show) he's been looking for a small military trailer, and I found a few at a big flee market about a hour away from the house one day while out and about getting some fresh air, so we got together and took a road trip and checked them out yesterday.

The trailers where in pretty good shape, but the prices resembled it. However we banked on the guy to negotiate on the prices. To our suprise, he would not come down a penny. So, Murph decided to hang on to his money, and we took the rest of the day and looked for other bargins.

We did find one.

We fould this old timer, the condition is a little rough, but not so bad that it can't be brought back to good condition. The price was on the low side of the going per pound rate, so Murph and I halfed the cost and added it to the T.M.Hunt arsenal. It's about twice the poundage of my other one, and since we bought a forge at Blade show it ought to be fun to play with.

Overall even though we didnt land a trailer and it rained half of the day, it was a good time.

Nice, Todd....it's Hammer Time!

Like I said, I was there a few days earlier. The guy that was selling the anvil has been setting up at this flee market for over 40-years. Needless to say he's old and probably won't be around too much longer. He always has a huge assortment of blacksmithing tools. When I was there by myself earlier in the week, I watched a guy try to buy this same anvil. He was rude in negotiating skill with this old timer, and he pretty much told him to piss up a rope. Lol, when Murph and I started to consider purchasing it. We chatted the old man up and was as respectful as we could be to him, he turned around and sold it to us for much less than he told the other guy hed take for it. Nice to know a little manners can still be beneficial in some places. A lot of history lies with that old man, Murph and I could of talked to him all day.

nice score Todd!
looks like it's been resurfaced before, but so long as the welds are good, you should be able to clean it up and get good service out of it.

Nice. The face on that one is in much better shape than mine-one whole edge is pretty well buggered...I've been working on it that way for fifteen years because I can't weld it here, and I don't want to carry 340 pounds of anvil out to the truck again.
That should serve you well!

I don't use it as much as I thought I would, so thought it would be a good chance to try something new. As for what, not entirely sure, was considering putting up a trade thread over in the esee forums
Gasp!

Yea, there is no reason keeping hold of it if you are not using it. I have been wondering if the nomadic Yuma is going to show its face again in a BST thread. How is that one treating you?

My wife and I drove past a few townhouses downtown today. One of which is a few blocks from my favorite brewery..... It is a tempting notion.

All the gun shops close early Saturday and are closed on Monday. How am I supposed to buy any guns?

Well we are back a day early. I wish i could blame it all on the weather.... And while the weather did get a bit nasty for a bit.... It wasnt the real reason we came home. Now im going to rant just a bit... Because i cant to the wife without starting an argument and i want to get it out!! Feel free not to read.

We brought my wife's cousin and her son with us this time... Shouldnt of done that. They had never been camping before and wanted to, so we wanted to take them out.

Started off bad. The lady literally sat in the car and just watched us get camp ready. She did let her son out for us to watch, with our own kids and dog, while pitching a tent for her and her son.. Didnt even bother to ask to help. Just stared at us. Once we got camp ready she came out and got comfortable.

Then she complained... Not about bugs or weather...at least not the majority of the time. Just about life. About people at home and problems and so on. Then this morning............ My wife is cooking breakfast and her cousin asks if my wife would like her to make the pancakes. SO my wife says yes please and the lady just walks off and sits down. Didnt lift a thing until her plate was ready.

So then the 2 women and kids went swimming next... Her son is only 4 and can not swim... My wife told me she just laid on a towel and told my wife to make sure her son didnt go too deep....

Now the entire time im telling my wife to put her foot down and tell her cousin to parent her own damn kid and get off her ass and help out... But my wife is too much of a sweetheart to say anything and told me id better keep my mouth shut.... And i did as long as i could.

Finally i said enough is enough. I told them we are packing it up and we can blame the weather if you want to!! Then she sat in the car while the wife and I took camp down, cleaned up, and loaded the cars.

TL;DR = Some people. WORTHLESS.

I'm really liking it so far, haven't had a chance to really put through its paces though. But as of now I don't plan on letting it go anytime soon.

Don't know about you, but dad and I are going to a gun show tomorrow for father's day

Sounds like your wife's cousin was having a bad day.

If only it was just a bad day, weekend, month.... YEAR. I feel bad for the boy. Truly. I wish we would of just brought him. Im all for teaching a kid something new... Im NOT for walking behind a grown woman picking up trash behind her.

That sucks world wood,

I was going to ask, when you get to Florida are you going to put your son in scouts?

Id LOVE to!!

I plan to look into it. Depending on how frequent they meet up and where is going to be the real thing though. Im not allowed to drive and we are going to live in the country.. But if we can figure it out id really like to. Especially while he is still young. Once they get older they start caring more about stuff that doesnt matter nearly as much. Gotta get em while their young LOL

My son still loves the woods and loves learning... I hope that never changes... I beg the spirits of my ancestors that never changes.
