I don't have the thread quals to be a krew. However I do hang out over there too.

The top eject was one of the reasons I went went with 94, I shoot leftie, so if I can get a gun that doesn't send a flying peice of hot metal past my face, I'll take it

The first time I ever shot a non-lever/non-bolt action was in ROTC. Went to the range for some fam-fire with M14s. First round I shot (prone), the shell ejected right passed my ear and down my neck under my shirt/t-shirt. I still have a scar on my back where the "warm" round fried my skin like bacon. After everyone, including the Gunny, stopped laughing, the Gunny said, "Oh yeah, you lefties need to make sure your collar is tight or tuck a towel around your neck."

Looks like mine is a 4 pin. I really just got it to use as a pattern for a reproduction or two.

Boyt. Boyt Harness Company. Had contracts to make these as well as the 1219C2/USN MK2 sheaths. The early sheaths had 2 throat pins. Later ones had 3 to reduce inadvertent destruction.

If I'd known you were just looking for one to make some repros, I could have drawn you up a pattern from one of mine.

If you ever want to try repro-ing a 1917 bolo, I can make you a pattern for one those. Don't have either a 1904 or a 1909 bolo. Still trying to acquire one in my price range.

Blah. Having electrical problems. Every time I turn the light switch on iny bedroom the breaker pops. Just changed out the switch itself with no luck. Guess I'll yank out the light fixtures next and see if I find anything with them.

I have my father in-law's fathers 30-30 sitting in my safe right now. pretty neat piece. He has hash marks on the stock for every moose he's killed with it. Haven't sat down and counted them all yet. There are quite a few.

problem is it keeps lousy time indoors.

Then you are using it wrong..... You have to hold your mouth right, and use a flashlight....

Gotta learn you guys gooder than that....

Edit to add: should have read further... Bighoss beat me to it...

Right. It's on. Like Donkey Kong. WAR HAS BEEN DECLARED! Beginning the 8th of July Australia and England will be at it again for the monumentally grand and spectacularly prestigious ASHES Test Cricket Series. Five tests, five days per test. 25 EPIC days of the glorious gentleman's game!

So, to all you Poms here in this marvelous little corner we (I) call Beckerburg (jius, wurger190, Anthony-UK etc.) We are coming to get you! Yes, it's true, we haven't won an Ashes series on your soil for what seems like forever but we have it now and we'll fight tooth and nail to keep it where it belongs.. on hallowed Aussie ground!

Bring it on England! Oh yeah, that's right, dems fightin words!

That's really cool. I don't have any heirlooms to speak of. Except my dad's dog tags from OIF, but nothing I can really use.

I've always meant to buy a good lever action rifle. If I ever do it will pprobably be chambered in 357 or 45.

I have a Winchester in .45 Colt and an old Marlin in .357 and they are a lot of fun to use but I have been putting off getting a lever-action .30-30 for years for some reason. I do have a 30-30, but it's a Thompson Center pistol.

I have a 336C (30-30) that I bought from an old boss many years ago. I killed my first pig with it in a swamp. It has an old tasco 2.5x on it. After I killed that pig, I laid the rifle on a small dry spot around a cypress tree spot to drag the pig out of the water. Damn gun slid off into the water. I fished it out and shook the water out. Scope never even fogged up. Still good to this day. That was over 30 years ago. (of course I cleaned the rifle after I got back to camp)

 Yep. Only thing I've ever shot with it was a beaver. Couldn't find very much left of the beaver after.... just large patches of fir.

Beaver stands in front of Saint Peter "let me guess, Termite? House?"
The beaver squeaks in the affirmative,
Saint Peter points in a direction......
