OMG, that's ADORABLE and for that price!!!
If it used any of my existing belt sizes I'd almost buy one just because. It would be amazing to have one tool always with a platen.

Is the top-of-platen wheel a 1.5" or 2" diameter? You might be able to replace it with a rubber contact wheel. I've got a 2" contact there on my KMG.

I think the 1st modification I would make is to turn that bent-steel platen into something with symmetrical hard edges on both sides, no bend. Probably a couple ways to achieve that result, definitely necessary for good plunges.

Those are top and bottom guards, not part of the platen. They are definitely going away, because they are 100% in the way for horizontal grinding.
Wheels look like 1.5" diameter.
Figuring out a small wheel adapter is high on the list

(Note to self.)

Me, "I am not looking for any more anvils. I have PLENTY, I need a forge!"
Myself, "Ok, wise guy, how come you keep FINDING anvils, now that you have enough?"
Me, "I'm not LOOKING for anvils, they keep finding ME!"
Myself, "How about the forge you need to be able to use the anvils you already have?"
Me, "I don't have an anvil like THIS one."
Myself, "What, now you need one of each?"

I, "CAN IT! THE BOTH OF YOU!! I can't get a moments relaxation around them two."

Hmmm...
Coal or propane?
I could make you a forge in trade for an anvil.
Especially if you have a "spare" over 100#.
I have 65, 85, and 95 pounders plus a 265# round of O6.

I guess it just seems like a lot to me. I only have 2 in that range at 306 and 110. Not enough to start trading until I actually start using them. But then there is a 99, 78, and my rail at 14.

It's a slippery slope, there's a new 45 pounder inbound.

The 14 pound rail.

Oh, I like that little rail...
So glad I don't have room for more anvils!
