So where do you live?

Live in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, just north of Edmonton and work much further north near Athabasca, on the southern edge of the mixedwood boreal forest (just around the corner from Finland... well, maybe a little further south.)

I went to OSU (the Oklahoma one, not the Ohio one) for 7 years (Batchelor's and Master's) and have had more than my fill of humiliation from Sooner football through the '70s and '80s. So, rest assured, there are some GOOD people in Oklahoma, and remember, my two favorite football teams are Oklahoma State and whoever is playing the Sooners this week!

Sun Valley, Nevada. Couple miles north of Reno(Sin City), Nevada.
And no, i don't gamble, smoke or drink; even though i live in 24hour a day country where there is always something happening. my wife can attest to that, as she is in the Reno Police Department.

Live in the San Francisco Bay Area Armpit.
Sunnyvale, home of AMD. Next door to Yahoo,
Apple, Intel, Sun, Excite, HP, etc, etc.
Can't wait to retire (15 more years) and get
out of here to some brush, wetlands, dirt,
sand, woods, or whatever. Maybe I can use a knife on something besides boxes.

Oslo, Norway. Where we can't carry knives without "proper reason", and where the fancy yankee cutlery is too expensive anyway ...

But hey, the sun is shining today, and the temperature is above freezing! Think I'm gonna buy me that CS Vaquero Grande afterall

I now live in Arlington County, Virginia. It is a quite densely populated suburb of Washington, DC, where I work as a, surprise, bureaucrat. But I grew up in Fairfax County, Virginia, now a yuppie suburb of DC, but farm country in the 1950's. Since I was a, more or less, country kid, most of my local friends and I carried knives of one type or another depending on what we were doing. We also mostly had firearms of one type or another.
