BTW, I lived in Fort Lauderdale, FL, for about five years - God knows how much I miss the Sunshine State!

Been living in San Diego most of my life, minus several years '85 to '92 when I lived in Taipei, Taiwan. Still in the Ocean Beach/Point Loma section.

California native... Spent one winter in Dayton, Ohio, and never realized that the winter could be so harsh...I've lived in Agoura, California for the last nine years (I'm sure that even some of my fellow Californians have to look that one up)and have set down some pretty deep roots here.
Greetings to all!

Sincerely,
Nick B.

I live in a state of bewilderment and confusion somewhere between Blades and Bartman. More importantly, I live just under an hour west of Beck's Cutlery. ;-)

mps-- 25 to go

Geeze,I only make the second member from Pennsylvania! I`m just north of Philly. Except for a few years that I lived in Albquerque New Mexico (which I LOVED!) I`ve been here all my life. Marcus

Rapid City, South Dakota within eyeball distance (on a clear day) of Mt. Rushmore. Hotbed of the firearms industry with Dakota Arms, H-S Precision, Black Hills Ammo, Cor-Bon Ammo, Ultra-Max Ammo, Jack First, Black Hills Shooters Supply, etc.

Started in Syracuse, N.Y. and to heck with the Okie-Nebraska business

. Football for me was the Big Orange of Syracuse with the likes of Jimmy Brown, Ernie Davis, Larry Czonka, Floyd Little and many many more.

I'm from Southwestern Michigan. Just North of Notre Dame and the Indiana border. There are NO cutlery shops anywhere here!

Yo,
Bartman! I live up on Venice St. Yup, the pier is still here...was closed for weeks during the El Nino storms. I often go on down to the pier maybe once a week or so. Graduated from PL. High. Nice to hear from someone else familiar with the same landmarks! Don't think I'll be leaving San Diego soon...though I'd like to get a house in La Jolla (hahaha). My knife addiction may prevent that! Las Vegas, NV - born in Gadsden, AL, and, in my Air Force career, lived numerous places. Las Vegas is the one I came back to. It's an excellent place for knives, since they don't rust here!

NOTE - it's really amusing to see mps, one of the most prolific and substantive posters on rec.knives, listed as a 'junior member'. If ANYONE deserves an immediate boost to super-member status, it's mps!
