Walt, "Okies" are those that split for California during the dust bowl. Those remaining here are genetically correct and enjoy life in the center of the universe.
Mom's family came from West Virginia. Dad migrated here from Scotland when he was two years old.
We DID have a great football team (OU) in the days I attended college and shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, I was second string. I'm still in weekly contact with the Selmon brothers, Greg Pruitt, Steve and Tinker Owens. But we can't bring ourselves to watch today's football team.

I'd have to argue with DanV that Detroit may be one of the biggest metropolitan areas without a good knife shop.
