So .... where ya from!

Does he promise you things in 2 weeks too?
Once when we were dating we were going to my family reunion in Tennessee, we decided not to take the highway, we wanted to take the scenic route. For the next two to three hours he kept insisting we were only 20 minutes away. This was in the days before cell phones. My dad was so pissed off by the time we got there because we didn't stop to call. But seriously the whole time we kept thinking we were only 20 minutes away. 🤣

Then there was the time on our honeymoon that we went to the Outer Banks. Somebody thought driving to the Ocracoke lighthouse would be boring so we decided to walk. We could see that it was right there down the beach. 3 mi one way, severe sunburns, and three stinky things later, we finally gave up and turned around. Thankfully our shoes were still where we left them. Those sand dunes are really hot. 🤣🤣

PS We never did get any closer to that lighthouse.

As The Man in Black sang . . . I've been everywhere, man.

So I'm basically a garden variety American. Or a mutt. Take your pick.

Put a gun to my head, and I guess I would say that I'm . . . An Amazing Virginian! 🤣 Though I'm fixin' / hopin' to get out of here in the next year or so. I'm thinking Albuquerque. So long as I don't miss that left turn there.

You're from Atlanta?

I went to college there. North Avenue Trade School. Heisman, Alexander. Dodd. Probably why they put the football 🏈 Hall of Fame there.

Only thing from there that I miss is "The V." Whaddayahave, whaddayahave!

Ahhh... Varsity memories of naked dogs, all the way - sideways, walking dogs and of course the FO.

And across the way... Junior's Grill, Techwood, walking up Bobby Dodd Way, the Tit.

And football's other claim to fame... 222-0..Yeah Heisman did that.

What do you call a pair of UGA coeds after a Tech man boots them from his dorm in the middle of the night? Two nekked dawgs walking. 🤣

I think they closed Junior's a few years ago. Great breakfasts there. And I always loved me a Jumbo FO.

I've been to Atlanta and eaten at The Varsity. Do people there really like the food or is it some inside joke to trick tourists?
For a broke college kid, after a month of nothing but PB&J, mac n cheese, and ramen, a splurge at the V tasted like Pete Lugers. And actually, I don't care what you say, and yeah they're unhealthy as hell, but I still think their rings are the best I've ever had anywhere.

You’re killing me. Yes we like the Varsity. I grew up going there. I went to high school right outside of Alt. And then moved to Athens which also has a Varsity. They do chili right, no beans.
